The Golden Eagles must be getting healthier as I see 9 players in the score box with the overtime victory at Denver. The ORU WBB has surprised many this year with a conference record of 8-3 nested in third place. They will try to keep the game slowed a bit and play solid defense. The 2 big players(6'5" & 6'3") will try to plug the middle as well. The Jackrabbits won by 18 in Tulsa against the skeleton crew and I would expect something similar tonight. Ober and Thompson should be able to answer in the paint while the Jackrabbit guards dominate the rest. Go Jacks!!

Re: GDT: SDSU Jackrabbits vs ORU Golden Eagles
The Frost advantage and added ORU depth will probably cancel each other out leading to a final score similar to the game in Tulsa. I'll take the Jacks by 14. I'm hoping to see the trends of more minutes for Flaata and hot shooting for Guebert continue tonight.

Re: GDT: SDSU Jackrabbits vs ORU Golden Eagles
ORU outscores Jacks in 2nd quarter 17-10, but Jacks take a 33-24 lead to locker room. Jacks cooled off, Eagles hit better %. Sydney Palmer saw several minutes. At least 6 Jacks have scored. Nobody by Jacks has THE HOT hand, much more balanced. Ober is having a very efficient rebounding night, but is a bit light on points.

This isn't the best I've seen the Jacks play offensively. If it were not for ORU not being able to buy a bucket in the first Qtr, we surely wouldn't have the meager lead we've managed to scratch out.Way to passive, just content to go through the motions with no one really playing aggressive enough. We don't even have faith enough for our guards to get around one defender when the rest of the way is wide open.
Always token drive, kick out, pass, pass, pass until we have to throw up a poor shot with the shot clock running out.We don't seem to run any plays desig to tned to get the ball to the bucket.Thank goodness ORU isn't exactly playing well either. If we realisticly want to get through the last three road games,we have to play much better.Hope the second half is played much better.

Re: GDT: SDSU Jackrabbits vs ORU Golden Eagles
I'm a firm believer in closing out games with 2 pt shots with a big lead, unless the three is wide open....really don't need threes with a big lead, just keep getting points and letting the clock win it for you ,and get the fouls. Also, unless you're hitting threes right and left. Start missing a lot of threes and the game can tighten up fast. Go for the higher percentage, unless you absolutely can't seem to get it inside, rarely that's the case, you can usually get something.

Another win that was never in question. Sure it could have been a much larger point spread, but I'm not going to complain.
It would be difficult not to have a big mental letdown against the bottom six teams in this league. The talent gap is so wide.
