  • GDT:SDSU Jackrabbits vs IUPUI Jaguars

The Jags are part of the 4 way tie for first place in the Summit. Their only Summit loss was a home loss to ORU. They have limited the opponents to 57 points per game this year. The Jags only take 29% of their shots from the arc while SDSU is averaging 37%. The Jags average 44.5% from the field. Senior forward #30 Sims(leading scorer) has missed the past 2 games against Omaha and the Bison. There are 9 more players averaging 10+ minutes. Until last week, the Jags were the last team to have a Summit victory at Frost. The Jags play in Vermillion on this trip as well. I would expect the Jackrabbits to be focused for this game following the loss to USD. The Jackrabbits should have an answer for the Jag defense after being stuffed by the Yotes and having 19 turnovers. The Jackrabbits should not lose 2 in a row in Frost. Battle of the defenses goes to the Jackrabbits with single digit win at home. Go Jacks!!

Time for the team to snap out of it's offensive funk, and get a win.

More times than not, good teams who are in a funk, get back on track after a tough, close, loss. Hopefully this is the case tonight.

Macy said something to the effect of "trying not to commit TO's and not playing loose and Clarissa said it was their goal this year to go through the conference schedule undefeated.I think the team put way too much pressure on themselves and,now that a conference perfect win record isn't possible ,they can go from "playing not to lose" (ie....playing tight) to playing to win.I hope now that that burden is tak'n off their backs, that they can really shine this game and play relaxed and confident and get the win.......Go Jacks.

Heard it was a finger dislocation that broke the skin. That had to sting a little.

if they could just finish layups, we'd get another ten points a game....you don't get them chances back, you either make'em or get nada, unless you can get the foul(we usually don't,except for Miller)..... Jacks 8-6

Everytime we get a foul,it takes a basket away...very frustrating, but that works the same for the other teams too,I suppose.

We should have a few players in a rebounding position more often when we take shots, offensive rebounds can really make a difference in really tight games (nit picking a little)

The upper tier Summit teams are a lot better than they are given credit for (I'm guilty).Really scrappy and can give teams fits.Have to play well to beat them.
