DePaul has a very good ball club. They will start 3 juniors and 2 seniors with a strong bench. Currently they are averaging 23 assists per game, 13.6 steal per game, 15.5 offensive rebounds, 24.2 turnovers created by the defense per game, and 85 points scored per game. There will be a bunch of activity in this game. The Jackrabbits need to reduce all of those numbers to have a chance at the end of the game. The game time weather may not be the best, but I would expect we will have a few noisy fans in Frost tonight to urge the Jackrabbits to a victory. Go Jacks!!
DePaul had 18 assists, 8 steals, 8 offensive rebounds, created 18 turnovers, and scored 79 points. With only 32 points at halftime, I did not expect them to jump out with 47 in the second half. I was of course surprised we put up 88 tonight. The Jackrabbits played with tremendous poise and confidence. There were plenty of good things from all the players. It never hurts the cause when you shoot 61% from the field. Go Jacks!!

2-8 shooting and 3 bad unforced turnovers.

        Great win tonight!

This is the SDSU team I expect to see every time out. They can't play down to the competition like they have been.

Now it's time to revenge the loss from Green Bay last season.

Zimmer said in his chat he was advised not to go up to the game in Brookings tonight.I assume he didn't go then.No post game interviews then I suppose.

The Argus did not want to be stuck with a motel room for Zimmer if the weather turned worse. I see he was tweeting during the game. He was watching the game from somewhere or listening at least. Frost definitely was in a state of euphoria with the game tonight. Halftime saw many big smiles wandering around when the 15 point lead was official at the half. The women had turned in a solid performance. It was a great atmosphere even though there was 20 minutes of play to go.

Did DePauls coach take the mic and talk to the crowd!?

He had other things on his mind and rushed through the hand shake to exit the court. Bruno is his name, I think, and he may have seen the handwriting on the wall in the first half. If you check the DePaul site, you will find a shorty with him joking with Geno A at the UConn game. He may want another home and home with the Jackrabbits if he has been loading up his schedule for OOC again next year.

Don't care if he did or didn't. Nice to bring that back again....geez louise....give it a rest

Also on Zimmer, said he had a couple dogs to take care of. I can see the reasoning in not going if you think you'd be stranded overnight with no one to look after your pets....that's perfectly understandable to not go in that case , JMO.

He never gave a definitive answer, yes or no,so thought I'd ask and see if he changed his mind and went, because it sounded like he was leaning toward not going.

Maybe I am being the debbie downer here but all I can think after a great win is about not losing a bad game now. They have to back it up and prove we are this good. Made that target on the back just a little bit bigger. Loses at ndsu or denver would really take the startch out of this win. The oonly 2 loses I could count as a ok loss would be at gb or at usd.

watched most of the Denver game the other night (even tho it was "forced"---ugh)---no disrespect to Denver's players but SDSU has no business losing to this team.

I agree, time to rid ourselves of the "two steps forward, one step back" syndrome.

Sorry I had a stent removal today because of kidney stones so I was a bit crabby. Still am. That was miserable.
