AJ'S interview - came across as favoring. Keeps from early fouls getting teams into foul fest because reset each quarter start. Also with no 1&1, there isn't that 5 fouls where it was a good gamble to foul. After 5 fouls, straight to 2 foul shots.

For those who attended the game, how did Guebert look? As good as advertised? I'm also curious about Palmer and Mieras.

She got into the flow of the game much better after the first quarter. The shots and ball handling were ragged early She looked to be more relaxed shooting the rest of the game. She found that the inside game will be more difficult for her even against DII defense. Mieras looked good early when she ran the court to get a pass for a layup. She seemed to be able to run the floor OK and she handles the ball fairly well. Palmer surprised me with a 3, but I did not watch her really close while she was playing. She is a strong player. It appears the women are lifting weights, but some looked more trim all the way around. It looks like Thompson, Ober, and Young are all lighter than last year.

Palmer was #1 at the State championship meet in the girls T&F shot put, Mieras was #3. They
were both strong before they even started lifting weights this summer.I believe Palmer shot the 3 pretty well in HS.
