The Huskies are favored to win the North Division of the NSIC and 5th overall of the 16 team conference. St. Cloud State is coached by former Jackrabbit Lori Fish, who begins her eighth season at the helm. The Jackrabbits should start Miller, Young, and Thompson. Who will get the nod for the other 2 spots is the question. Will Ober and Boever fill out the card? Is there a freshman who will start or be first off the bench? Does Alexander or Cornemann find a spot? What will Viso bring to the table? There should be a few of these questions answered tonight, but I would not be surprised if someone does not surface with quality minutes until Nov 13. It is cold and windy again today and I will enjoy being in Frost tonight. Go Jacks!!

Re: Exihibition GDT: St Cloud Huskies vs. SDSU Jackrabbits
I don't think there is any doubt that Ober is the starting post. My question at that position is if Flaata can provide effective backup minutes. I was surprised when I looked at the roster and saw that Mieras is listed strictly as a forward. That doesn't mean she can't get minutes in the post though. I would be surprised if Gabby doesn't start at the point when the real season begins. Guebert will definitely get some major minutes and could very well start after she gets some time under her belt.

I think AJ will use the first two exhibition games as a chance to get as many of the new players some valuable game experience as he can.The only time we'll see the starters is at the start of the game. He'll also probably test out his sub rotations and try out different player combinations. It's a time for him to evaluate, formulate in his mind how he will utilize all the talent he has at his disposal. It's indoctrination time for the newbies and becoming familiar generally for the whole team of playing together and meshing all available talents into the most effective team he can.I don't think the scoring will be real high unless everything meshes right off the bat, there's bound to be a few hiccups along the way,Better now than when the games really count.

Encouraging to see Geubert starting. Also cool to see Boever come in and quickly get two steals.
Sounds like a typical sloppy exhibition game, but Jacks are up17-8 with about 2:00 to go in 1Q.
