The WBB travels to the Mile High City for the first of the final 3 road games. Stevens will be on the sidelines with the foot injury. Waytashek's injury has not made the news release so we may need to wait for the lineup card ahead of the 6 pm CST game. Currently this matchup would be the same as the Summit Tournament if the standings stay the same. Denver(4-6) is alone in 7th place. The Jackrabbits beat Denver 85-44 in the first game at Frost. It is hard to forget that the Pioneers played in the final game last year in the Summit Tournament. The Jackrabbits need to subdue the notion that Denver can repeat last year's success. A short bench should still handle the Pioneers by 10. Go Jacks!!

Re: SDSU Jackrabbits @ Denver Pioneers
It looks like an 8 PM tipoff (CST). There should be video available. I expect a much closer game than the meeting in Frost, especially if MW stays on the bench. There's no need to rush her back out there though.

With Ober and Thompson coming on strong toward the last games of the season,Flaata's getting valuable experience playing I'm pretty confident we should win this game with Denver, especially the way we,ve been playing.Clarin's on a mission ,playing better than I've ever seen her play.Macy,Young, add stability with steady play....and a superb bench, even though it's a little depleted right now.Hope both Megan and Chynna heal up, good as new, and can play soon.

If Waytashek is sidelined, who will start? Walters would be my guess.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Re: SDSU Jackrabbits @ Denver Pioneers
It will be interesting if Thompson comes out with the same aggressiveness in her 1st career road start. She played one of her best games in her start against IPFW.
Probable starting lineup:
Miller
Young
Walters
Thompson
Clarin
I don't think SDSU needs MW to win this game. Denver is struggling as of late and are only averaging 56 points their last 3 games. I'm guessing MW will dress but will only play if its necessary (which I don't think it will be).

Re: SDSU Jackrabbits @ Denver Pioneers
Here is me reading between the lines. I think if she was out, obviously we would have heard by now.....says capt obvious. which means she is somewhere on the scale of maybe out, to could play, which means if there is no major damage, say ligament damage, that most likely she is out for rest and to do any physical therapy if needed, and since its Denver we should be able to win with out her and gabby and Stevens etc. I would think since she has had knee injuries before they will be catious enough, but she probably knows if it feels good enough. so as long as the Dr says its a go, she wont push it if doesnt feel right yet. Maybe she just bruised it or something else that a little rest will fix. I would be surprised if we see her tonight. the soonest I would think would be at ORU.
Anyway you gotta feel for someone who has given so much and dealt with plently of injuires already. Tough going into end of the senior year and have to worry about issues like this. hope she recovers fast and can help this team win another confrence and tourny title."The most rewarding things you do in life, are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.” Arnold Palmer

The way she was up walking on it after the game gives me optimism that maybe it's not serious. AJ also said in his coaches show that she was walking on it, but she was going to the doctor "tomorrow" because that was the soonest she could get in.
