That's what relying too much on the three can lead to. Whatever happened to Ober's post-up game. She did that often and effectively in the WNIT run.

Our Post defense and Offense needs work. Their live stats don't show points in the paint comparisons....but I'm sure we were outshot there.Their live stat site kept stopping,finally stopped at 15:27 left completely, doesn't even give final score ,unless it's my computer.

The big gal, Jarosz, had 7 blocks on defense. We gave her a chance to pad the stats.

I still say we got to the hoop a lot more last year with the three graduated seniors than what we're doing this year, even with Miller playing. Boever would help for sure.

Game was Marist,10 more FT's,2 more 3 pt shots, and 1 more bucket = 18 pts, doesn't sound so bad when looked at in context of a whole game and shooting stats went to heck after the fist half. And, the most important stat of all 11 TO's....but we lost. We had 19 more possessions, didn't do any good, we shot horribly,2nd half.

Amazing we have 11 TO's and get walloped. We had 28 of so against ULAR and walloped them.

At one point 6-10 on three pointers, finished 8-26 on three pointers. Couldn't get it inside enough, when we did missed lay ups, resorted to settling for three's, went cold, started fouling.....ball game. They had us stymied the second half.

No Gabby is not the second coming of anyone. She was on track to become one of the top three players for steals in Jackrabbit record books. She also would have made the team better to this point in the season. They may still have the same record, but she would have been a BIG plus to this team. I would register for the Boever crush club since she is a spot missing with this year's team. Anytime you lose the leadership and effort of a quality senior player, it should not be considered lightly or in a negative light.

Another two steps forward, one step back season (occasional setbacks), not quite a roller coaster ride(long periods of ups and downs). Just hope we get what's missing and put it all together soon, so we can gain some consistency before the Summit Tournament. That would be a terrible time to take a step backwards.
One more N. Ia road game and we'll dive into the familiar waters of Summit league teams, and size up the competition for the prized NCAA Tournament auto-bid. Still fun team to watch, speaking for myself anyway.
