C'mon now, thems sour grapes. USD can still be our rival, and we can despise them, but I will still pull for them to win and represent South Dakota.

I will fully admit that I did not stick around this afternoon to watch the final 3 minutes. I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

They call it March Madness for a reason and it finally caught up with us today. So did the bipolar nature of our team.

USD brought tremendous energy. I have to credit their effort.

We were flat, missed every type of shot known to man, and gave up rebounds every chance we could. If it could go wrong, it did - and USD did a good job of making us pay.

      On to the WNIT.

When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

Me too. Arrogant Denver fans. Gritty South Dakota kids who showed a lot of toughness today. It's good for basketball in South Dakota. I'll be a 'Yotes fan for a couple of hours tomorrow.

I think something to stoke USD fan interest is a key piece in further developing the Summit. I miss the days of my youth in the sixties when flying rabbits and coyotes were the norm, but if one of the teams went on in the tournament it was good for the state as a whole. I remember being very proud of USD when they won the national championship in 1958.

Meh... my post wasn't sour grapes or said in jest. I would have the same feelings if they were in a different conference and the Jacks had already won the Summit.

Is there something that happened in this tournament to make them arrogant or is this just a blanket observation?

I would say blanket. Other than Coach Scotts comment about not playing a team with SD in it, and that was kind of teasing comment, I have not detected any arrogance.

At this point, i cant cheer for the yotes. I will have to sleep on it and decide tommorrow. Sure, they represent sd but how many girls on the roster are from south dakota?

This is the point where I stop cheering for anyone and start cheering for big plays, regardless of which team it is for, except for WIU. If WIU were still in it, I'd cheer for their opponent.

Doesn't matter where they are from- they have CHOSEN to represent South Dakota- and they deserve credit for that. Who knows, they make like it so much they stick around after college and make a life here.

The Jacks simply got out-worked (especially inside) from start to finish. And probably out-coached as well , as the coaching staff has to take some responsibility for the team coming out like that. On another note , any word if Ober is OK ? She didn't look too good after Harrington took her down and landed on her.

It is also the only team of the two with a winning record. It would be a bit lame for Denver to be the Summit rep. The yotes have beaten both the Jacks and IUPUI this year. Give them the edge for a representative.
