I think that was the only one she shot. It was a big one for sure Stuart had a nice game.

am not a big fan on the rule changes. sooo many foul calls on simple little touches. looked like they called em just for a uniform touching the other player. Summit games are going to one long free throw contest with a lot of players fouling out. good thing for a long Jackrabbit bench.

Nice win, first this year by either program, we needed to get the ball rolling.

Yea lots of touchy fouls. It seemed all georgetown had to do was drive to the basket in the 2nd half and they called a foul on us. But the whistle was being blown both ways. Just gotta make free throws

Some of the fouls may have been light, but many of the fouls were earned as the Hoyas were scrapping to get back into the game. Also, the pace of the game for some of the Hoyas was too quick since we did see up tempo play with the Jackrabbits pushing the transition game. The post player for GU played the entire game for them the first game and she was not able to keep up with the pace from the beginning tonight. Full court pressure slowed the Jackrabbits some in the second half, but there was more running than the Hoyas wanted. The press created some fouls for the Hoyas as well. SDSU had a solid game. Some stretches were great. Megan Stuart showed some great offense. Megan W showed great ball handling and shooting. Tara was ready to contribute.(She and Megan S had 28 of the first half 43points) I have not seen the final stats, but other than a few turnovers it was a good home opener. At the end of the game(4-6 minute mark) we missed a couple front ends of 1 & 1, but the last 2 or 3 minutes they nailed the free throws.

It's great to get this type of team to come to Frost, and even better to beat them. I had serious doubts that would happen with the way things unravelled during the second half. The team showed some guts by holding onto that lead when things got rough. It's also impressive that three freshmen played a lot of minutes against this caliber of opponent so early in their careers. We are definitely stocked up to continue to be the team to beat in the Summit.

Gabby Boever doesn't get the recognition she deserves because she doesn't score a lot , but the defensive pressure she put on was a big factor in disrupting the Hoya guards. I don't think I have ever seen anyone get their hands in and break up as many dribbles (mens or womens games) as she did tonight. When you factor in the complete offensive and defensive game , she's the best point guard in the Summit.
