The schedule is out....WOW.....Notre Dame,Stanford,Penn State,(FF,E8,SW 16 teams???)Creighton,Georgetown,Brigham Young,Wisconsin Green Bay,Central Mich,Middle Tenn,UALR,Northern Illinois,Northern Iowa,Florida Gulf Coast,TCU,Pepperdine.....
ONLY breather may be NJIT,otherwise,each game is going to be a battle and we will see many different styles of play,our women will be tested to the maximum with this schedule.This should raise our SOS quite a lot,,,,,and if we win some of the higher profile games,our RPI too.
Great experience for our team.This should be a fun and exciting OOC experience for our fans and team .Finish .500 or above and we will be one heck of a team.Way to go AJ!!!

Looked at Stanfords roster,all their forwards are 6'3" or above,except for one at 6'2".They have nine listed on the roster.If they can get good entry passes to their post and/or forwards,they'll have a slight advantage there.
Stanfords also noted for their sharpshooting guards in the past,who shot a high % of their outside shots.We'll be about even there I think.
Stanford will bring plenty to have to defend against,can't wait to see the outcome of this game,as well as the game with the Irish,see how well we do against the teams with the burger girls.
Cautiously optimistic,I don't know if we've ever played a game against teams of Notre Dames and Stanfords stature before,they'll both bring a lot more on ball pressure than we're used to in the Summit.USC and Nebraska are our best Div 1 wins to date,i believe.Last edited by jackdaniel; 08-22-2013, 10:19 AM.Comment

Impressive that we have 3 road games over the Christmas holidays. It will be interesting to see what kind of attendance those games find on the road. It is great to have some more big games in Frost this year. This OOC schedule should keep a few eyes on the women's program!Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Funny, we could get USC, Neb, Bama, Iowa, Penn St , Georgetown and now Notre Dame to come to Frost but the Gophers would never do it. Glad we dont play them in womens bb anymore.Comment

In 3 weeks, the Bemidji women basketball team will be here for an exhibition game for the Jackrabitt women. The UNI football game is the day before if anyone coming to Brookings would stay over to watch another basketball season tipoff.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. I think this year will be awesome,great senior leadership, great junior class experience and potential to be much more dynamic and dominating this year,sophs will contribute more this year,looking forward to that.
Lots of depth.We got a great bunch of freshmen to mold into becomming 'Jackrabbits",Great talent there....looking forward to both exhibition games, and then a very challenging and entertaining OOC campaign to prepare us for the conference season.
We are picked to repeat once again,a vote of confidence,but a burden as well that we've managed to carry so well....we should just get uniforms with great big targets on the back...LOL
