To date the summit has been a perfect fit for the Jacks and the opportunities to reach the NCAA tournament. It will ge more difficult.

Originally posted by Southeast View PostAgreed. I know it is controversial here, but I also agree with "Just in the crowd" and his take on the recruiting region. I'm very thankful that we have a team that can win the Summit year after year. Is more out of our reach with this type of roster? Without one transcendent player among the bunch (e.g., Jenn W.), I think so.

Re: NCAA Tournament: South Carolina
Yotes are getting better as well as IUPUI, WIU, IPFW(sometimes), and Omaha will show up. However, I will be surpriesed of one of those teams will take the Jackrabbits down next year. We should be stronger with the next class. (And there are more lining up for 2014.) Today So Carolina gave the Jacks a look at some strong play on both ends. The SC women may have played better than normal, but they have the talent on the court. It was the best post play i saw against the Jacks all year. It was better than the Kansas/Colorado game. It was better than the rest of the season with the exception of Pen State and I did not see that game. It was a lesson today.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Re: NCAA Tournament: South Carolina
The arena at the U of Co seats 11,000 It will be interesting to see the Sanford facility that brings 12,000 It was a cozy arena with the exception of hand rails for the people that have seats at the lower level & the seats were nice with adequate leg room. It is a bunch of steps to get to the top level where the entry is found. There were concessions all the way around at the entry/ upper level. The 2 Dak scoreboards were in the corners at the top with no center video. Also, it should be noted for those that have the notion that some things are a carryover from DII. The Coors Arena has baskets that are lowered from the ceiling(not free standing) and they are members of the PAC 12 & formerly of the Big 12. Also, the teams all had pretty well cleared the bench prior to the end of the game(even though SC put starters back in after a minirun). Also, I have seen that the Ivy League has many of their games on Friday which is a bit out the ordinary. I would venture to say that DI is what the members have would decide is best for them. Jacks will be better next year.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

During the second half today one of the announcers said something to the effect that for every Megan Vogel of Jennifer Warkenthien or Jill Young that graduates from SDSU, another one comes along. If only that were true. There was a lot of talent on this team, but it was spread relatively evenly through the roster, and only five can play at a time. It didn't seem to me we really had the kind of player who takes pressure off her teammates by demanding the attention of the defense.
On a lighter note, Anna Prins's uncle played on my intramural team at SDSU, and I was glad to see Iowa State overcome the NCAA's obnoxious decision to make them play on the twelfth seed's home floor.facebook.com/kurt.evans.70

The Gamecocks played one of our best games of the season against you guys so I wouldn't get too down about the game. Also, keep in mind we would be 28-4 (and probably a 2 seed) if we were just an *average* free throw shooting team. Our team was 2nd worst in the country in free throw shooting percentage this season, but today we were great at the free throw line.
