Looks like a pretty good matchup for the Jacks. The ESPN announcer called South Carolina a dangerous team, though. Apparently they gave Stanford a run. The location (Boulder, Colo.) is great. Finally a neutral court.

It looks like they have a guard that will give Boever headaches. Leasia Walker was SEC defensive player of the year (http://www.gamecocksonline.com/sport...030513aaa.html).

They also had two forwards make the All-SEC second team. Both are 6'0. Their tallest player (there are two of them) is 6'3.

I'm hoping there will be a bit of give and take there. Gabby's got quick reflexes and a quick first step with a stolen ball. I don't know what part of her game I get more of a kick out of---the steals and layups or those flat flat threes that she makes. Geez. Her and Waytashek as seniors.......

Gabby is very skilled as a ball handler and on and off ball defender. Her shooting leaves a lot to be desired. I trust her to handle it against just about anyone. Chloe is a true freshman, she might be best observing for now. Tara Heiser is a bulldog with an unstoppable will to win. Sometimes that strong will gets in the way of her decision making but I'll take her in the game over anybody else when the W is on the line. I trust our guards to get it done. Ashley can handle and so can Meghan W.

I thought our offense really stalled with two "bigs" in the game. Obviously Coach AJ is the man and will make the game plan but I'd like to see 4 guards and more perimeter ball movement, open up driving lanes and stretch the defense a little. If they won't stretch, gotta hit open 3's. This team has REALLY struggled from 3 at times this season.

I hope the Jacks can win Saturday so I can catch the game on Monday on my way back from New Orleans.

Anybody know where I can find single session tickets? They are only selling all session tickets on the Colorado site.

P.S. I'm not expecting SDSU to lose but probably wouldn't be able to make it back to Boulder on Monday if they win.

With Gabby's mentality , I have no doubt that she will do the work to improve her shot. After missing more than 2 seasons of competitive basketball , she is back to her old self. Her not getting even honorable mention all-conference was a joke. There isn't a better point guard in the Summit. Here is a nice article on Gabby from the local paper. www.dglobe.com/event/article/id/63491/.

hopefully this game is broadcast in full on ESPN2 for all areas. just looked and it shows blacked out on espn3 along with all the other womens games on espn3. I know its going to be regional like the past so i quess us living in other states besides SD and SC are SOL. looks like audio only on GoJacks with J.J. man tournament time and I've only seen the ladies on TV once.

                      Re: NCAA Tournament: South Carolina

My only concern is being too tentative, passive on defense, and falling behind early.I think SDSU gets conditioned to playing tentatively by the way SL officials call the games during the regular season, and are at a real disadvantage in the NCAA's.The SEC plays physical,so we have to be prepared to match their physicality. We can't over do it, and get in foul trouble, but we should be able to expect more leniency from the ref's in the NCAA's.We should be able to adjust quickly to either more physicality,or less, depending on the officials and the way the game is being called. At least,it should be called consistantly in either regard.I think Clarin can add alot with her agility and quickness, and Lingle has a killer hook shot and very good post moves, but she'll probably be double teamed, because they won't want us to get out to a good start in the paint.Maybe a lot of back door cuts can help alleviate the double teaming, especially if we get the long ball going early.

Call the ticket office at SDSU. They will sell you single session tickets for just Saturday night, I am nearly 100% sure of that. If you want them for Monday they will bill you when you request them and only then.

Thanks! If I am nowhere near Brookings will they just be at will-call?

The ticket office won't have the tickets. There will be a table or some other sort of assigned place where you pick them up.

The lady I dealt with at the ticket office yesterday said if I couldn't find where to pick them up to ask at will-call.
