Under eight and you have to let the three balls fly,get screens, quick ball reversal,whatever....play for the win....which means mega comeback....what diff if you lose by 10 or 30,stll loss....go for it Jacks , get that hot three point shooting spree we need....hit the boards,hard.....release the Kracken!!!!!

That's why I believe that to get to the next level nationally, we have to get a bit out of South Dakota and Minnesota with our recruiting. The Summit we can win with farm girls, but not on the national scene.

Roseville, Eagan, and Lino Lakes, Minnesota are not exactly farm towns.

Pretty sure this can be said about all of our NCAA losses the last 3 years. It's a broken record, but an accurate one. Reality I guess.

If we can't hit three's, our offense becomes ineffective against Power conf teams

Agreed. I know it is controversial here, but I also agree with "Just in the crowd" and his take on the recruiting region. I'm very thankful that we have a team that can win the Summit year after year. Is more out of our reach with this type of roster? Without one transcendent player among the bunch (e.g., Jenn W.), I think so.

I think we can compete with local talent. We simply need to put each and every local athlete in a Jackrabbit uniform. Samantha Osterello comes quickly to mind.

That said I think the Jacks are down from the last 3 or 4 years? Plus, the summit league in general was down. Oral gone, NDSU, Oakland, IPFW, Western were very good HIGH school teams. IUPUI, USD, Omaha etc were average at best. We have simply graduated so much talent in the last few years.

However, we have shown we can beat the Neb, Georgetowns, Washington's etc

Its really, really difficult to be critical of what our women have done the past 5 years. Its just sad to see them struggle today.

I agree, our women just had bad shooting night, sometimes that spiral's out of control, they try to hard to do things they aren't necessarily good at......you know, everything snowballs and you look worse than you actually are.

I will admit it does feel like SDSU has pretty much found its ceiling in terms of on-court women's basketball production, unless AJ tweaks something in how the program operates.

                        Politically correct.

"Ceiling" was the word I was going to use in my last post.

Like Chains said, it is hard to be critical of this program as we watch them in their fifth consecutive NCAA tournament. That is amazing. But the results of the last four trips definitely hints that the "next level" is a long way up.

Will struggles in the tournament lead AJ to consider offers to move to a BCS school? I would guess his success at SDSU has his name on the radar? I know he turned down the Green Bay job a few years ago. Not intended as smack.

Pathetic performance. Time for AJ to expand recruiting area. I would be happy to see a couple recruits with speed and athletic ability over a couple more 3pt shooters.

Look at the games we play in conference, then look at the teams that SC play's all year long.....when we get to the NCAA'S we already have bad habits established, you can't get SEC ready in less than a week.
