    Re: NDSU gdt

Congrats on another great season, Jacks. The women appear to be tourney-ready. I'd love to see them get another shot at IUPUI in the championship. I'm tired of all the reminders that the Jacks lost two close games to the Jags. That's highly unlikely to happen again. But first things first. Beat Oakland!
    This space for lease.

I am personally going to be careful what I wish for. I am hoping IUPUI gets beat before we get to them. We simply do NOT match up with them. They are much quicker and put tons of pressure on our guards which prevents us from getting into our offense. Jacked_up is correct. Our first focus will be on Oakland. Beat Oakland and rest for a day.

The one thing our was most impressed with vs NDSU last night was Clarin. She could be a huge plus in the Summit League Tourny = not to mention the next two years.

The Bison are simply not very good. I am surprised Dehoff survived last year. NDSU is all about winning regardless of the reason why the don't. I'd let her go if I were in charge? But I am not.

[QUOTE=Nidaros;225735]I dunno know, according to Kevin Schenpf of the Forum, she comes back no matter what based on the injuries and other disruptions that are beyond DeHoff's control so it appears the Administration does have compassion. Now Bisonville that's another story. "Dehoff has to GO" She should be thankful, the Bisonville posters do not control the adminstration.[QUOTE]

Story in Forum Sunday morning confirmed that Lynn Dorn, women's athletic AD, said DeHoff will be back for "the last year of her contract". After her first year, she was given a five-year contract. That runs out next year. I assume she will be on notice that they will need to have a much better year next year. Shenpf had a column in which he said the injuries this year would not have made much difference in their record, and repeated the "DeHoff needs to go" mantra.

If I post links, I should read entirely what is contained in the link. This I did not do. I did not read the part that mentioned Aaron Johnston and his 10 out of 12 years of 20 wins. Sorry, Jack 2002 and Jack#1, I blew it. Schnepf is right about the fans though, they are very restless. DeHoff has had her chances and I would probably be correct in saying that NDSU was in the same race to reach the recruits that SDSU has landed. The more thought to this issue, I conclued that Lynn Dorn should not waste any time in making a change. This might be one time where the crys from Bisonville should not be ignored.

The big problem NDSU or any other school that have a lame-duck coach has will be the difficulty in getting interest from possible recruits when there is uncertainty about who will be coaching them. It's a self-defeating kind of situation - you can't get better unless you recruit better players, but most of those type of players aren't going to be interested when the coach recruiting them most likely isn't going to be around to coach them.
