I stand corrected, completion date is fall of 2014,it won't be ready next year at SLT time. But it will be fully enclosed on Dec 31,2013.We'll be able to look at the outside anyway.
I wonder why we don't do that. or has the administration looked into it yet and its just not feasable?
I'm not sure you could afford it. My guess is that it would take a minimum bid of $150,000-200,000 to host. That's 15-20/ticket to get back your bid, let alone cover the costs of GAMEDAY management. A good idea anytime SDSU or USD had a team that could possibly "make noise" in the tournament, would be to partner with the SF Spots Authority, and in turn with the SF Chamber of Commerce to front the money.I know Iowa State has bid and won for 1st and 2nd rounds in Hilton in Ames, and there have been times they "hosted" out of the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. It would be great for the state to get started doing that, and increase the profile of the schools.
Great facility in Lubbock but one hell of hard place to get to on short notice. Just about have to charter a plane. I drove the last time the Jacks played there. 14 hours straight through. Crushed TCU and got hosed against Mulkey and her Baylor team.

If SDSU gets to the NCAA tournament they will be 25-7 with some good wins. I would think that would get us a #13 at least.
I hope your right but I wonder.
Some bad losses and an RPI not helped by those losses and the leagues weak teams and lack of big wins by teams at the top of the league will hurt our resume.
If the Jacks can win the Summit league it will come down to what other teams are under consideration and where their RPI's stand.
Could we snag a 12? Seems unlikely. Shouldn't be worse than a 14. 13 is possible by I'd say unlikely right now.
Best thing our women have going for them is name recognition.

I think our RPI sits at 62. That is right on the borderline for at large bids which usually go to teams from power conferences. As I think about it more it is possible as conference champ and tourney champ (if that happens) with an RPI of 60 the Jacks could sneak up to the 12 line. I likely spoke too soon.

Win the Summit and then plan for a #13 seed. Feel elated about a #12 and feel business as usual with #14. Once we have dealt with the ups and downs of the seed, then plan to win the game on the schedule. I expect a strong level of support for the conference tourney. Go Jacks!
