The Hornets of DSU do not appear to have the overwhelming size that PennState brought to the court. There are 2 players with substanial playing time at 5-5 and 5-4. the won loss record is 2-6. Eastern Michigan came in with a 1-6 or 7. It would be encouraging to see the SDSU women firing on all cylinders tonight as they seemed to have an above average game against PSU. The Hornets largest home crowd was 881 while several were less than 200. They play in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference. Go Jacks!!

According to RealtimeRPI.com - Jacks are at 84, and leading the 23 rated conference. The DSU Hornets are rated in same at 308th, and play in the 30th rated conference. Hampton, who Jacks played in the WNIT pre-season tourney last year, is likely the best of the MEAC (a HBCU conference).

You can tell I do not get out much. I never knew anything about HBCU conferences. It makes sense from the 1940-1950's, but I had not been exposed.

Yep, a travesty of the days of "separate, but (un)equal". I'm a bit surprised that Delaware has them, but it is south of the Mason-Dixon line.

21-5 at 2nd media stop. DSU has 6 fouls, SDSU 1. Jacks D is going well. Several transition buckets by Jacks. Lots of TO by Hornets due to the Jacks D.

39-32 Jacks at the half. Dietel hits 1 of 2 from the line with 1 second left. Really need to stop their penetration on defense. The small, quick guard strikes again. I think we'll pull away in the second half, but I want to see the defense from the first 10 minutes and not the last 10 minutes.
