SDSU is going up against Sam Ostarello. Would be awesome to upset Purdue, kind of like why I was wishing to g matched up against Florida in men's even though I knew it wouldn't happen this year.

Just going to have to go in there and beat them. Nothing else for it.

Everyone needs to understand how the women's tournament works. #1 seeds have had to play on the road vs. #8/#9 winner before...just how it is.

Doesn't mean we have to like it.

Meh. That's one of the more defensible pairings. SDSU is bound to be the odd school out in the pod, but at least they didn't move SDSU down a spot to plug a hole in a pod at some remote location.

Only solution to this is buying a region. Fortunately, Sioux Falls can do that.

Purdue beat IUPUI early in the season 75-45, beat IPFW 73-36.

Lost to Nebraska at home 93-89 in 3OT, beat them 74-70 in 2OT in the BIG championship. We lost to Nebraska 71-60 at Lincoln.

I feel like I've seen this movie before. Until we win a game or two in the tourney - we are going to be faced with this year in and year out. Might be why we didn't host an announcement party, too......

Both SDSU and Purdue were in Cancun.

Purdue played K-State there, beat them 46-42; SDSU lost to K-State in Frost 63-46.

With luck, Purdue won't think they need to scout SDSU since they've already seen our offense in action, against Cincinatti. <rather sick grin>

So St. Bonaventure's first trip to the tournament and they get a #5 seed?

Purdue beat Oakland 66-47 in West Lafayette. We beat Oakland 62-52 in Frost, and 61-51 in Rochester.

Nebraska actually beat Purdue in West Lafayette in that triple overtime game. And we played Nebraska fairly close in Lincoln until the second half (it was 36-34 at half). Purdue is beatable, but it will take a monumental effort playing away. Can't wait for Sioux Falls to put in a bid to host some tournament games.
