Having a starter that plays major minutes and basically gets no scoring puts that much more pressure to score on the other four.
Dietel does a lot of unseen things, look at the play by play, she got two back to back steals, then an assist to an Ashley Eide layup. Her and Eide did the lions share of our meager rebounding total. The only thing that bothers me is,when did she just become a defensive specialist? She used to score when she was a fresh,soph,......this game fg 0-0, 3 pt fg 0-0, FT's 0-0.You can't score if you don't try.She should try a couple of shots at least, maybe one goes in.Dietel and Lingle split about evenly AJ told JJ in the pre-game interview.

I agree,Jills only reliable shooter from the perimeter,we went 8-25, 33% from tre land, of our 57 shots taken,25 were long range,if that much of our offense is from long range,we need to bump up our percentage a little more(38-40% or more)Jill at 44.4% and Paluch at an even 40% made that mark. But that's just 14 of our 25 three point shots. But who knows, more go in and everythings humpty dory.Another game ,well then there's a whole other set of stats to look at.What the stats say at the end of the season are the ones most important.Shoni Schimmel had a horrible day for Louisville ,4-18,0-7, and 0-1 for 8 pts....so it happens to everyone once in awhile.

I understand what you are saying about Lingle being more of a scorer but it's nice having some scoring coming off the bench, too. Would you rather have Lingle or Dietel out there with Boever, Heiser and Strop? The other group has Eide, Sunnarborg and Paluch. Either way, Dietel will play about 17 minutes and Lingle will play the rest.

SDSU has always had players that play 14-18 minutes that don't score more than 4.5 points. Some of them were freshmen but some of them did it through their careers. You have players like Gilbert, Grimsrud, Bolden, Meier, Muchenhirn, etc... I can't remember but it think the either Ketty or Maria might have done that their FRESHEN year. They all did other things to help the team but they weren't scorers.

Team point production is the same regardless who starts.
