Glad had them at Frost. IMHO, this could have easily gone Redbird's way at ISU.

Redbirds are likely at top 50 RPI team. This was 2 very good teams at each other's throat all nite.

A bit premature I'd say. We played very mediocre against a very, very good team and still came out with a W. Oh yah, and we still don't have our starting PG at full strength...

"We had a few too many defensive breakdowns in the second half," said ISU head coach Stephanie Glance. "South Dakota State gained a physical advantage to get some offensive rebounds and force some turnovers. We didn't respond the way we needed to until the end. South Dakota State is a well disciplined, well coached team and this is a difficult place to play. They deserve all the credit in the world for coming back the way they did."

Appears this was a hard fought game between two talented teams. That the Jacks defense stepped up and forced a nearly 10 min scoring drought on the Redbirds is very positive.

Look at it a different way: Jacks were not at their best but gutted out a win against a very good team, a team that handled a big ten team. Made plays when they had to at both ends of the floor.

I can see how they could not be at their best especially with the news they got earlier in the day about Purdue player Drey Mingo in the hospital with bacterial meningitis. That would be enough to put some of my concentration somewhere else. Not saying it did with them but it has to be in the back of their minds.
And maybe I should quit watching the BCS womens games on television. The style of play is just so much better it seems and so much crisper. Or its just that its on tv and not a crappy internet signal which causes the appearance of sloppy play.
And maybe I want the Jacks to win so bad that when they play sloppy it just frustrates me to no end. It doesn't matter whether the team they are playing is the worst in the country or number one in the country they should play like they practice, hard. They should control the tempo. minimize the turnovers and make the other team look like they didn't practice.
