DePaul had 2996 for their game with the Mo St Bears last nite. Hence, they are hosting FLA in the other semi-final.

            How about we start here?

Filbert or another mod: Can you add a ticket exchange tab to use for people on here? I bet that would help and if enough people found out about it people may come on here to get tickets. Just a thought.

Purdue has a girl we can feel for. For all you Trey Wingo lovers the girl that plays for Purdue is named Drey Mingo. No lie.

In regards to the crowd, I'm sure the number was accurate. I was really depressed over the size of the crowd. The student section maybe had 300 there. There were a hundred or so scattered across the south upper bleachers, hardly anybody in the east end seats. Over the years, attendance at early games has often been pathetic. I don't get it...although part of it is that a lot of people still feel the season doesn't start until the "good" teams (conference) start coming. That's crazy, but, unfortunately true. I do think the current economy doesn't help game attendance.

Speaking for myself, getting to Brookings on a Monday night means leaving work by 4 ish in order to get kiddo and hit the road by 4:30 to pull into Brookings in time to walk into the stadium at tip off (Would rather be there earlier to see warm ups) only to turn around and head back to Yankton usually getting home around Midnight. Which, is way to late for my kiddo on a school night, btw.

I try to make it to the weekend games as often as I can, But I Totally understand why attendance was poor for a Monday game.

Please understand that it is the "local" crowd I'm unhappy about...not the out-of-town fans. There were some "reasons"...Monday night, and some people probably didn't know there was another game at home...only the die-hards there I guess.

After I took my place in GA, I said to my wife that I thought the crowd would have been larger than the 1800 or 1900 that were there. Only 1200?

It was a spirited group and at times, quite noisy.

Yeah, I guess I never ventured over to the GA side to see what reserved looked like, but standing at my seat, looking above, it looked like the reserved side was almost full...that must not have been nearly the case.

I was guessing around 2k and was very surprised to only see 1200 listed.

There was more than 1200 there on Monday. To be honest playing a team with no real name recognition on a Monday night isn't a real attractive proposition to many fans.

I heard a guy in the GA section talking about how he was amazed that more people didn't show up to the game, but in the same breath mentioned that he wasn't going to the football game because the team was struggling and he had yardwork to do.

The fanbase for SDSU is still a fickle group.

Fickle? How about fair weather? When a team is struggling THAT's the time to be a fan. And a resumption of North Dakota rivalry? Wow....
