Trust me I waited on this site last year for it to be announced and I heard it from the argus site first. So I would use that site as a last resort.

Here is what Terry V. wrote in his Argus SDSU blog Sunday night:

"All the conference tournaments are complete and ESPN.com has posted its finals predictions for the NCAAs.

In a nutshell, the Worldwide Leader in Sports projects that all of the top 44 teams in the latest Vaporia composite rankings will make the field of 64 - except SDSU.

The Jacks are No. 33 according to that system, meaning, if eligible, they likely would have earned an at-large bid in just their third season at the Division I level.

Instead, they’ll await a call from the WNIT committee, likely to come between 7 and 10 p.m. Monday. Information will be posted on ArgusLeader.com as soon as it becomes available."

If I remember correctly, didn't the WNIT call AJ on Sunday and let him know his team was out of the running? We haven't heard anything so I'm going to assume no news is good news.

Being optimistic....I really see no way that we can be left out. And if it up to the institution to bid for the host site then we should be able to host a game (or two or three) as the Athletic Department should be able to put a competitive bid in. I would guess if we host a game we should be able to draw more than 5000 fans.

I'm excited about this. I've been in school since the DII glory days and miss Frost arena being full for a college basketball game.
