I can't see why they wouldn't have the other games. I'll plan to hit Cubby's Friday the 18th for the Illini game. If its not on, I'll just have to have a beer and watch something else.

Directv subscribers, ESPNU is part of the directv sportspak, and it only costs $12 a month. CSTV and a handful of Fox Sports Nets are also part of the package. I upgraded a couple of days ago and its great. Hopefully SDSU will get some more games on these channels, and it will be a great winter for SDSU fans.

Tell us "cable guys" more about DirectTV/Dishnetwork.  Charter just hiked rates again here in Rochester and I am considering a switch.  Especially with ESPNU in the mix.  Where should I look into this?  Internet, Best Buy, let me know.

One other quick question. If I called a bar with DirectTV and they said "We don't have the sportspak/ESPNU" Could I pony up the cash and have them get it in a timely fashion? Thanks ahead for any info.

          From gojacks.com

SDSU games to be televised on ESPNU

A new-look South Dakota State University men’s basketball team will make its regular season debut before a national television audience when it opens play Sunday night at Kentucky.

ESPNU, an all-college sports network, will provide live coverage of both Jackrabbit games at the Guardians Classic in Lexington, Ky. The Jackrabbits’ opening game with Kentucky is scheduled for an 8 p.m. Eastern Time (7 p.m. Central) tipoff at Rupp Arena on Sunday, Nov. 13.

ESPNU is available on Dish Network and DirecTV packages, as well as certain cable television systems.

SDSU also will have its Nov. 14 game against either Lipscomb (Tenn.) or Northern Colorado televised. The first-round losing teams will square off at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT), with the Lexington Regional championship game set for 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT).

Other regional sites for the Guardians Classic include Morgantown, W. Va.; Iowa City, Iowa, and Austin, Texas. The four regional winners will advance to Kansas City for the Guardians Classic semifinals and finals Nov. 21-22. The semifinals and championship game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The Jackrabbits will field a roster that includes 10 newcomers. SDSU’s five-player returning class is led by Street and Smith’s preseason all-Independent selections Ben Beran and Steve Holdren.

I have had a dish for 5+ years and loved every minute of it. The cable company in Brookings cost more and the quality is not as good. As far as were to get one, just shop around and find the best fit for you.

              Re: Jacks on ESPNU!!!!!

Doc just contact any direc tv or dish network dealer and they should be able to set you up. I've had mine for about 6 or 7 years and love it. Don't worry about installation, I installed mine myself and it's pretty simple, point the dish to the south run the coax cable to the reciever and then to the tv. The dish will be up and running immediately and will tell you how to fine tune the sattelite direction. If you start tomorrow should be in business by the weekend.

                Re: Jacks on ESPNU!!!!!

I have to say that earlier when the news of the Tourney came out and Nagy was quoted talking about the game(s) being on ESPN, I made a post on my fantasy FB site. One of the fellas on that site said Nagy was full of it, that there was no way an SDSU game would be on ESPN. He also happens to be an NDSU grad. Granted, it wasn't ESPNU that was mentioned, but to me they are all the same. Needless to say I'm enjoying making him eat his crow.

Anyway I'm looking into a place for myself to watch in SF. I don't think leaving town is an option this weekend.

Does anyone know of a sportsbar or any bar/restaurant in "The Hills" that gets ESPNU? Thanks

                      Re: Jacks on ESPNU!!!!!

I believe that ESPNU is on the Black Hills Fibercom cable system -- somewhere around channel 116.

Big D's Sports Bar in Huron, SD has Direct TV and it will be on channel 609. Not sure if anyone on this board cares except for me. It sounds like we will have 15-20 Jackrabbit faithful there to watch.

I think it is great that everyone is posting where they are going to watch the game. I will be watching in my basement on the big screen, and I know they will have it on at the 810 Zone in Leawood, KS for those without ESPNU in the KC area.

Has anyone confirmed that Cubby's will have the Illini game? I would think they could pack the place with just a little advertising.

                                Doc,

Grab Wulf and drive to Milwaukee. We'll all three go down to the game together. I'll buy beers.
