I saw that long string of non-conference home games and my jaw dropped.
Wow.
Seven straight home non-conference games in November and December, people. That's not easy to do when you're a low-major D-I school. I hope people have a proper appreciation for what this means--for not only the fans but the student-athletes in the program. Only two non-conference road trips, and they're actually geographically coherent (E. Illinois-Iowa to start the season, and W. Michigan-C. Michigan-Minnesota just before Christmas).
Again, wow.
Congratulations to Coach Klinkefus and everybody involved in scheduling those games--major, MAJOR well done!
I love the fact that SDSU is doing the Canada trip. Too bad we didn't do it when Kai was with us but who knows, maybe it could get us another Kai. I was recruited by the top Canadian college program, Brandon U. Let me just say, SDSU would beat them by 30. So I don't expect these games to provide much competition. Now they might be close as SDSU will try different things and not want to have 4 blowouts, but the talent isn't close. I just love the fact that w/ 6 new guys we're gonna go on a good bonding trip and get 4 games in before everybody else.
