            Re: NDSU TV information

Only one slight problem with the coverage last night. As the second half started, Mediacom (or Midcontinent) switched the Brookings market to the UND hockey game. It didn't come back until there were 3 minutes left in regulation.

            Pathetic.

Why do we put up with these terrible services from our cable companies who are efficient at one thing, raising rates? Answer: I don't. I may miss out on these games because I have satellite, but I pay 1/3 less than I would with Mediacom, and the product is about 100 times better.

That is the problem with having SDSU games on Medicaom. Does anyone have mediacom in Brookings anymore. They are a joke.

I wish I didn't. I have them for internet and until fiber is run to my area, I can't switch. You can get a great deal from them IF you are signing up, but if you are a long-time customer, it's not worth it.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

Bummer. I have Swiftel fiber Internet and it's very fast and 100 percent reliable. For now, I'm sticking with satellite. But when Swiftel brings out its digital fiber TV, I'll take a look.

Sorry for thread drift, but is there any more news on Switftel getting their TV up and running? I've heard for years that it is going to happen. The last thing I heard is that they got in over their heads with the TV deals when they found out how much it was to provide ESPN and some of the bigger cable networks.

                      Re: NDSU TV information

SDSU has a pretty good Communications Department (I am a little biased since I was in it). Perhaps in the future they will be able to produce the games themselves and then just have the stations provide the airtime to show them. Heck, use the SDSU channel to air the games that aren't picked up as a way to show interest.
