    Re: Ipfw gdt

Engen has two altered/blocked shots already....not swatting, just using his height....I starting to love this guy!

31-17 6:40 Dons shooting over 50%....Jacks under 30%. Kai and Garrett yet to shoot.

Man, we are L-A-Z-Y. Why do we half-ass it so much? Drives me nuts. We continually get out of position. Then we don't work the ball on offense and stand there and watch the ball bounce around instead of, again, getting in position. God, at least Engen hustles.

I feel the same way. As athletic as this team is sure seems to not translate well into game results.

I think we have to dust off the S word . . .

            Soft.

IPFW plays like they don't think the Jacks can match their aggressiveness. So far, they're right.

Tough to watch. We do next to nothing to get our shooters (Kai, GC, Sarg) jumpers. Man, when we look bad, we look awful.

Only thing we are doing right is drawing fouls. Have made 5 shots and 1 in the last 9:30. wow

I think we are lucky to be as close as we are in this game so far. I would pull the starters put in the end of the bench. Maybe those guys and Engen would lose but maybe they would fight till the end.

Maybe go back to middle fundamentals, 3 passes before a shot, but then again maybe would just cause more chance for turn overs. I think they Dons game play style just is to much for us and it doesnt seem complicated. Yet on the other hand a good team like Oral Rob we seem to play well yet other teams struggle against. Thats basketball for ya.

Pathetic. I will not be tuning in for the second half.

                            40-26 HALF

Weird....Garrett gets a screen...and make a shot! Weird how that happens.

I'm gonna take heat for this but I feel Palarca needs to find his warmup. Let Wolters stay out there and let GC play the point the few minutes Nate is out.

Sorry for all the negativity, but this is bad. We get the crowd behind us, get a chance to cut it to 10 and maybe turn it around and Moss gets a reb, takes it down, doesn't pass, then travels....then we don't hustle back and give up a wide open three....then we go down on offense and pass it once for a bad shot. Just no player movement on offense and we're not sharing the ball worth a crap!

If there is any good news it's that IPFW probably can't continue the hot shooting (over 50% and 6-9 from three) and SDSU can't shoot any worse.

That's why our turnover numbers are actually pretty good for a bad team...b/c we don't work the ball around.

the current way of just taking the first bad shot we get doesnt seeem to be working. Maybe trying something new could help. Im no coach and dont claim to be, but player movement away from the ball and a few passes might actually create a few decent looks.
