Talked to Chad last night and he seemed a little bummed about it. But then I told him it gives him a chance to deal with his finger and his knee injuries and gives him a chance to learn the system and keep all four years of eligibility.

I believe the coach has indicated that Chad would qualify for a medical redshirt if he doesn't play any more this year. With a finger that apparently was broken in a couple of places and has to be surgically repaired, I imagine that hand will be very rusty and weak in 6 weeks. He won't be catching crisp passes or dribbling for awhile. So a redshirt seems like a good option.

Coach Nagy stated at Jacks After Hours tonight at Cubby's that Chad is done for the season. That's the bad news. The good news is that he will still have 4 years. Good luck and a speedy recovery, Chad.
