Over on Bisonville they are making attendence predictions that I think are very low for both games. How dumb is it to have these games on the same nights! Hard to say what they will draw in Fargo for the Women's game, but I'm predicting 3700-4000 in Brookings for the men's game. The guys will need all the help they can get!

Re: NDSU
My wife will be making the trip back with the kids but I have to remain in Rochester. I'll be listening.
NDSU will focus their defensive effort on Cadwell. They have too much talent for us on the offensive side and we need an off night from them. If we can hit the outside shot, rebound and handle the ball it will be a battle. This is not a game we should win minus 3 starters but it is a game we could win if everything falls into place. We are here to add what we can to life, not get what we can from life. -Sir William Osler

WEAR YELLOW
I couldn't find the article on the online Collegian (www.sdsucollegian.com) but in the article talking about the men's game vs. NDSU it talks about the promotions for the game. I am not sure if they are just for students or not.
5:00 p.m. Coach Nagy is hosting a pizza party in the Trophy room, only for fans wearing YELLOW in the SDSU athletic trophy room. After pizza is gone moving to Frost for warm ups.
...."Balloon animals and hats will be given to children of all ages, including college students and those fans still young at heart".
Coke is sponsoring a can-stacking contest. for persons and teams of two. Must be dressed in YELLOW to participate.
Larson Manufacturing is sponsoring a contest, too. Nine keys will be handed out during the game. Three of the keys will open doors to reveal prizes. Fans must wear YELLOW to enter.
Finally, more that 100 T-shirts will be given away. GoJacks.com T-shirts will be thrown into the stands by the cheerleaders and the State Sensations.We...ARE...STATE!
SOUTH...DAKOTA...STATE!!

Re: NDSU
It's hard to admit we are an underdog at Frost against NDSU. Does anyone else feel we can pull off the upset? I have a lot of respect for the 2006 Bison team, but feel we will play hard and can exploit some things that may give us a chance. The crowd needs to be loud an into it.

1) Defend the 3. We must play better D on the perimeter.
2) Take the ball to the rim and get to the FT line.
3) Less than 13 turnovers.
4) Rebound, rebound, rebound. Give them no second chance points.

I think we have a chance. NDSU may have a better team than us this year, but I'm not ready to concede they have a better program (as the folks on Bisonville would lead you to believe). We're at home, the guys are well rested and playing pretty good on top of that. I don't think we'll see another 30 point loss. In order to win this game we need to do a few things:
1) Defend the 3. We must play better D on the perimeter.
2) Take the ball to the rim and get to the FT line.
3) Less than 13 turnovers.
4) Rebound, rebound, rebound. Give them no second chance points.
I thought the Bison are now (since the Wisconsin win) a Big Ten caliber team - SDSU has no chance.
No doubt the Bison have had a better year than SDSU - but how many wins would they with SDSU's schedule. Bison might have 3-4 more wins than SDSU. SDSU is 7-17 for the year YTD - at best NDSU would be 11-13 with the same schedule.
