The Gents are playing like a team in a must-win situation, which they are.
The Jacks aren't, and aren't, as much as we all want to see them break the conference road string.
Chase Adams fouls out with 5:20 or so to go. Sargent makes both free throws. 65-52 Gents.
I'm not sure this wasn't a must win for this team. They are in the tournament, but I think they need to pull this one out to have the confidence needed to put a run together in the tournament.
We are on a 6-0 run now.
You can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can never teach a stupid dog anything.
Jacks almost got the ball on a long rebound that went out. A conference gives the ball to the Gents and Steve sounds OK with the call. 3:17 left and still 65-58

Yeah, but they're in the tournament, regardless. Centenary needs to win and get some help.
So there is a difference in motivation, above and beyond the home court advantage. Jacks WANT this win. Centenary NEEDS it. It makes a difference.
Still, looking at the two teams, it's hard to see how Centenary is objectively a better team than SDSU is.
