You got that right. The game thread was entitled "Valentine's Day Massacre NDSU vs SUU".

Even I am chuckling about that. Saul Phillips thought they might be cutting down the nets at the Bison Sports Arena, so that will not now happen.

Wipf gets fouled so he goes to the line.

Missed the first, the second is in & out.

Dang it. I really wish he would have hit those. Would have been a great way for him to go out.

          76-66 is the final.

7-2 in league games at home. Quite an improvement from last year.

I guess it's up to us to keep them from doing it on Tuesday...

Yeah, that would have been sweet for Wipf to get a couple of points.

                      7-8; 12-13, 3 assists, and I missed the rebounds

Heck of a stat line for Moss. has got to be a huge confidence boost for him. needed him to step up with Clint out and he far exceeded expectations.

Doesn't the loss to SUU prevent a clinch for NDSU, as they are only one game a head of ORU and they still have a head to head meet in Tulsa? I am thinking even if they blow us out of the water on Tuesday, the bison still could be tied with an ORU win in Tulsa.

Nagy lead should have been more. demand to stop them. not happy with lead. Moss - tremendous weapon most dont have. at them at them all night. took good care of the ball, Kai- worked to get him baskets at the bucket. hits threes after. AC- playing good pace. good passer hard to defend him. Roos- didnt lay down . Conf= tough one coming up league didnt do us favors tonight. Be positive that they can win in NDSU. Clint thinks hes going to play ,not one hundred percent not going to play said Nagy, but he is walking on it.

Great games by the men and women.

                            Moss was unstoppable tonight.

My one gripe tonight, and I came to this conclusion early in the womens game, based on the lack of crowd participation: sure there were 4k people, but the crowd blew tonight, for both games.

I think several things factored into the poor crowd participation tonight.

                            1. 3 day weekend for students...so a lot of the normals were gone.
                            2. Corduroy classic - brought in a lot of people but most of the people it brought in aren't real interested in Jackrabbit basketball.
                            3. Career Service night - it's a great promo, and also brought in quite a few people, but again, for most it was probably the first game they've gone to all year, and aren't real interested in Jackrabbit basketball.

The fact that a lot of the crowd cheered when it was announced (twice) that NDSU lost to SUU, confirmed this....someone who is interested in Jackrabbit basketball would've known that wasn't something to cheer, but to jeer, as that didn't help our Rabbits out at all...I was very annoyed at that.

Anyhow, it was still a great night of 'rabbit basketball.

Yeah, the student turnout wasn't the greatest. If it wasn't for some older fans sitting down there, the student section would have been less full. Sure, it is a 3-day weekend and Valentine's day, but this was senior night for the men's seniors. Sure, the 2 seniors didn't play a ton of minutes this year, they have been a part of this team for 5 years and 3 years(would have been great for Troy to make one of his free throws. I think Nagy was gonna take him out if he did just so he could get a round of cheers).

Great win tonight. Dale came up huge. Kai had a great start of the night and kept on the rebounds. The team had some poor passes in the first half, but they kept control in the second half. Surprised Griff didn't go to the bench after picking up his fourth foul with 13 minutes left in the game. He played pretty much the rest of the game without picking up his fifth.

On a side note, after the game, a few of the UMKC players made it over to Clint at the end of the bench and shook his hand too. Great show of sportsmanship by those players. Nice to see Garrett give his 1000th point ball to his mom and play a good game tonight.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

Just got back from my first Frost experience in a long time. Not much insight to the games, but it was good to be back there and good to see a couple of victories. Good job by both teams.
