If he thought that was OK, I pray that I will be there when he thinks he does pretty good. I don't know if I could handle a game where he thought he played outstanding.

He said he was sore and tired and was going to go eat something we , told him how happy we were for all of his teamates and there was more of this to come for them all, in the coming games...

He asked how his brother did and we were able to tell him of his brothers triple double game and he was really happy for him too.

tears of joy for many of us I think....

I don't want this to sound bad because this is a hugh win. The team dug deep and fought back for the win. I was just confused about the overtime. Oakland either had #30 shoot it or #32 drive it to the hole. SDSU on the other hand really had me baffled. The 1st 2 possessions they went inside and Cordova scored 2 baskets. The next 3 minuted SDSU held the ball outside and launched a long shot as the shot clock expired. They did get the ball inside or run the same offense.
That is the only bad thing I can say about the impressive comeback and win.
Kai can really get up there. His rebounding is really impressive. With him and Cordova hitting the boards like they are, SDSU is tough. Two players getting double-doubles is a welcome change. The team has players that know their rolls and they are playing them well.

I think they were really trying to work the clock when we got the 4 point lead. As Coach Nagy said in his post game comments, he was still not happy with the execution in those instances and it was something they are going to continue to work on since most of the games have been really close at the end. He also said AC is really struggling from the line and teams are going to start fouling him more and make him shoot free throws rather than let him back them down in the post.

One issue that I hope Nagy addresses with next years class or the year after is a point guard that can beat his man off the dribble consistently. At the end of regulation, the Oakland point guard took the ball the full length of the court and drove to the basket and hit the shot, got fouled with about 7 seconds left. When State got the ball, we settled for a 25 foot prayer shot that had no chance to go in.

I believe this also happened against NDSU, they were driving to the hoop in the last minute of the game drawing fouls and SDSU was shooting jump shots. I'm not sure if we don't have anyone that can take it to the hole at the end of a tight game or if it is by design.

Palarca can beat his man sometimes but can't finish at the hoop because he is too small.

I will always remember Tyus Edney with UCLA in the NCAA tourney driving the length of the court at the end of the game and hitting the winning layup. Other teams have players like that, we don't at this time. I know Point Guard is high on Nagy's wish list, I just hope he finds one. It would really help out the team at the end of games.

I understand your point but I think that might be a little off. AC scored 2 baskets in the 1st minute of OT. I THINK he was still on the court for the next 2+ minutes before they took him out. They only took him out the last 1-2 minutes of the game.
I understand running the clock down but only up 4 with 4 minutes left isn't the time to milk the clock(In my opinion). We don't get good shots when we milk it that early. We won and that was good practice for next time we're in that position.
Good think SDSU defense was tough as nails because going scoreless for that long isn't a good sign.
Great win! Now let's go on the road and get a win 1(or 2).
