Two things: It says our guys are more athletic and able to run their big guys into fatigue; and it also says that maybe, just maybe, Coach Nagy made halftime adjustments that worked.
And maybe just maybe coach Nagy isn't as bad as some like to think Happy as a pig in sh*& right now. Lovin this.

Three overtimes, a six point win, a two point loss in the last five games. jackMD will be seeing a lot of cardiac customers for the remaining games if the Jacks keep this up.

I hope that thousand or so people who bailed out on the men during the course of their game get the razzing they deserve at work on Monday for missing the best men's game in Frost Arena in a long, long, long, long, long, long time.

It was a night to remember.

Kai Williams just exploded in the second half. For a while every rebound on both ends was his. His 998th, 999th, and 1,000th points were just amazing to see. Cordova was a beast again, too.

These guys can play. They're not all the way there yet, and there are pieces missing still, but these guys are coming together . . . it's no longer one step forward and one step back, it's two steps forward now.

It's good to be a Jackrabbit tonight.

How often in the past has the mens team overshadowed a big victory by the women. Happened tonight great job by both teams.

I haven't read any blogs or game threads yet, just got home from the games.....I....am....stoked!

I don't even know how I'm going to sleep tonight, and I won't have a voice tomorrow.

The mens game was THE single most exciting game I've ever been to....tops over all 3 WNIT games, tops over any USD game, tops over all. From the tip when Oakland was showing off how quick and athletic they are, to the run in the second half when the teams kept trading 3's (and Clint's 2) was insane. I thought I was going to have a heart attack towards the end of regulation when we just...couldn't...get...the...basket...to go...ahead.....what was, there 4 or 5 possesions where we couldn't get the bucket at 61-62!?

What a game, and you could feel it that the guys weren't going to lose this one in OT.

Also, talked to Kai postgame, congratulated him on his 1000 pts, and what a great kid he is....he thanked us numerous times for coming out and supporting the team.

Again, best basketball game I've been in the stands for.

Since that bad Denver loss, Jacks are 6-6, and have had only two of what one could call 2006-07-type games, the blowout loss to IPFW (now avenged) and the double-digit loss to UNI.

Included in the stretch were the win over Iowa State and a couple of decisive home Summit wins. The four conferece losses in that stretch all were winnable in the end, including the two overtime losses, the two-point heartbreaker in KC, and the five-point loss in Oakland. Had things gone our way in one of those four games we'd be over .500 in conference now and be one game under .500 for the season.

The last obstacle is right in front of Jacks now, and they need to slay that road dragon in Indianapolis on Thursday night. That would be huge to both get to 6-6 and to get that road win jinx off their shoulders.

I'll say it again: 6-3 is eminently doable in the second half, and better is possible.

Just got home from the game. What an awesome night of basketball! Great to hear Frost rockin' again. Had to take a restroom break during the time when we were hitting those 3's in the second half - the crowd noise reverberated in the north foyer out in front of the concession stands! The dB level and noise quality at the end of the game was very close to that in the Hilton when I was at ISU during the Johnny Orr basketball years. VERY D1!

Many of the fans who left were parents and kids who attended the kids clinic event held earlier in the day. I think the day was getting alittle long for them...

My wife remarked that the game tonight ranked close to the NDSU/SDSU football game in Coughlin last year in terms of intensity and emotion!

                    A great night.

15 points and 17 rebounds!! That is a monster night. And to do it against such a tall line-up that Oakland had. AC also with the double-double. Crowd was just out of it the first half. Clint started the run in the second and the crowd picked up on it and we were in it until the end. Great energy by the crowd and the team in the second half and overtime.

Kangas is a stud. Best thing that happened was getting 3 fouls on him in the first half. Benson was a beast for them in the first half. Great to have him fouled out. The team played great defense on Kangas in the second half (Griff did a great job). I know he scored some big points, but he had to bust his ash to get them.

Just an awesome game and win for the Jacks. Coach Nagy was so emotional in the post game interview regarding Kai's 1000th point and it was great they had Kai interviewed too. Great night for Kai and for the team. Just great, great, great.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

Kai was indeed the Beast tonight, AC was again the Animal, Sargent was on Fire. All around great effort.

Very exiting night to be at Frost, one of the best games I've seen.

just got home from the game. all i can say is WOW!!! my only dissappointment the whole day was going to pizza hut in brookings before the games and discovering they didnt serve beer anymore? or maybe they got their license take away? great 2nd half, great crowd. i was in row 17 so i had to yell louder than most, so i have no voice. but i love it. ive never given up on these guys and will keep supporting them all the way to sioux falls(and beyond maybe). congrats to kai and the williams family. and to the callahans. your boys are all fun to watch and we will support them for you all, when you cant get here to do it.

now its time to get that first conference road win. what the hell, lets get two next week.

how did the oakland coach not get T'd at some time during the game. he constantly was bitching.

Just got home too for some brews and a big smile. I'll second what filbert said and give a huge huge thumbs down to the people who left, especially before the men's game even started. Even season ticket holders. If you don't want your friggin' men's bball season tickets, you can give them to me. And you better not be posting on this thread or you're gonna get as many negative reps as I can shoot out. Absolutely disheartening to see those empty seats. How loud would it have been if you all would have been there? Cuz it was LOUD!!!

Now to the positive. Wow, absolutely wow. I had to read through the thread to see how long the Jacks were on 61 points because they couldn't will the ball in the basket. It was 7:30 to go, but they stuck to it and "D" up big time those last 7 minutes when it seemed like it was 62-61 for an eternity. I was pretty nervous when Kangas hit those few in a row because they were tough, tough shots, but he just wasn't on tonight. Heck, the guy missed two FT's and never missed from the line.

It seemed though that they played not to lose in OT after they got the lead, but that board by Kai for the "and one" was unreal. In between three defenders and they tried to hack him when he was on the floor and he just muscled that ball into the hole. It was sheer will that it was his ball and his only. Great, great game Kai. I heard Nagy after the game on the radio and that man truly cares about his guys, I think especially Kai and Garrett for hanging with him through these tough years.

I was so angry after the NDSU game, but could see that this is really a good team, especially at home and they proved it tonight because they were absolutely dead in the water and pulled this baby out and it FEELS SO DAMN GOOD!!!!
