I know Cal-State isn't the best team, but looks like the change up of the starting line up sparked the guys and shows that your spot in the starting line up isn't guaranteed if you can't play hard, can't play with confidence, and give your best effort to your team. Great to see the guys blowing someone out early. I hope we can finish it off with a great second half.

I'm not sure that this was the reason Nagy did this.

The players, mainly starters are putting so much pressure on themselves to perform, even more at the start of a game. I think he allowed those who maybe would execute tough D from the go and allow those on the bench to come in with the monkey off their back. Makes even more sense trying it at home. I'm sure he's tried everything else so why not this?

Regardless of how this games ends, kudos for Nagy for pulling out all the stops.

Let's finish this one out in style. We have blown plenty of big first half leads against California teams in the past, no repeat effort. We need to sustain this lead or widen it.

This is one 20 minute half of reasonably good basketball. Something to build on, not something to celebrate. Summit league play is upcoming, time to stay focused and intense, no letting up.

All I can say, WHERE THE H*LL has this TEAM BEEN????

54% FG, 8/10 FT, 5/12 3's, and 8 scorers of 10 played.

Granted, Roadrunners are playing stupid TO, travels, etc. But if Jacks are 320 RPI, these UCSB are 330/340.

It's good to see good passing (mostly, some forced that went bad), good screen, and a good distribution of shots.

Absolutely. The men need to zero out the mental scoreboard, come out, and win the second half.

Then come out the next couple of games and show the same kind of effort before we re-enter conference games.

Win each possession, and the game will take care of itself.

Is this the official "Heck, we got nothing to lose, let's go out and play" attitude we've needed to see from these guys all season?

IF so, the Jacks snapping out of their season long funk may be bigger news for today than the girls landing in the top 25 (because, heck, we all KNEW the girls were getting into the top 25 sooner or later--at least I knew it).
