I do not believe so. "Crazy bug" on Coach's part, I think.

OK, let's see . . . Palarca for Casey . . . Maybe. Both have strengths, both have weaknesses. I have a soft spot for Casey just generally, but I guess I can see this one.

Tivis for, well, anybody strikes me as kinda weird. Some folks must have had some wildly bad practices since Denver for this to happen.

Engen at the post . . . maybe. He's actually played pretty well lately. Had some good minutes vs. Minnesota. Lets Nagy run his beloved two-post motion offense, if he's so inclined.

Still, as the old saying goes, it's not who's on the floor at the beginning of the game, it's who's on the floor at the end that really counts.

It'll be interesting, if true.

Agree, completely with the comment about who is on the floor at the end is what matters.

I don't mind seeing Palarca out there. Not much difference between he and Mackenzie. The other two are just kinda odd. Engen didn't even see the floor against Denver. Tivis, 2 minutes. Weird!?!?

Hopefully we will have 3 angry subs coming in off the bench early wanting to take it out on the Roadrunners.

And, Nagy does have an ongoing habit of forgetting guys on his bench during games. Part of why we really need that third assistant ASAP--to yell at Nagy when necessary. I wonder if his dad would like to get back into coaching?

If you want a yeller,Nagy's dad fits the bill. Wow, he's a screamer. He will yell at his son,the players, even the cheerleaders.

I watched the tape and just didn't see the effort out there. I asked the players (about the Denver game) where's the outrage about this?

You win because you're great defensively, that's the only way we'll win because we're not great offensively. I'm going to stay after the guys and not give in to what they're giving into. I have to believe that defense is the answer. We have to keep going . . . Dale seems to play better off the bench. The one thing I know about Payton is that he'll play hard.

CSU-B has big, strong guards, very athletic, but they rely more on their post players, they really pound it inside.

So far so good for Palarca and Engen . . . Palarca gets the first field goal of the game, and draws a foul for free throws after an Engen defense of the CSU-B center.

Cassiday charges and turns it over.

12-4 Jacks at the under-4 timeout. One of the better starts for the Jacks this year. Maybe we should give Nagy another game or two as coach--at least until halftime, anyway.

I think Nagy is asking some of these "men" to be just that. I don't care where you've been or what people have said about what you "might" be. It's where you are now that really matters. I can't tell you how many times I have had that talk with students.

So far so good. A lot of game to play. We can blow these California boys out if we play hard for 40 minutes.
