  • NCAA stats on 2006 attendance

Here is a nice fact based link.  I am looking forward to better crowds this coming season.

We finished second amongst the schools going through reclassification:

Reclassifying Teams to Division I Team G Attendance Avg.
    North Dakota St. 13 32,348 2,488
    South Dakota St. 12 24,842 2,070
    UC Davis 13 18,618 1,432
    North Fla. 13 13,595 1,045
    Longwood 12 11,924 993
    Northern Colo. 12 11,427 952
    Kennesaw St. 12 10,722 893
    NJIT 11 1,323 120

Wow, no need to worry about crowd noise when we go the Newark this season.
    Go State!

Not bad all things considered. Conference will help, but many still won't know the teams. I didn't see the complete list, but it looks like we would be around the middle of the pack.

Re: NCAA stats on 2006 attendance

As near as I can tell (I may have missed a school or two), 117 D-I schools finished with a lower avg. attendance then we did for the '05-'06 season.  So we finished in the bottom half, but at the upper end of the bottom half.  Nothing to brag about, but not bad considering.

It should be fairly easy to bounce back into the 4,000 range and be in the upper half with conference affiliation, and a chance at the "Big Dance" heading our way.  The future looks bright! 8-)

      Go State!
