Gopher Game Thread

Starting a new thread on Thursday's game (hoping to take some steam out of the Hornby nonesense).

Gophs at UAB tonight, should be a tough game for them. UAB was in the Big Dance last year if I'm not mistaken and has former IU coach Mike Davis. Hopefully the Blazers can take a little something out of the Gophers heading into the SDSU game. Gophers are 1-0 under interim coach Molinari.

Quick poll - any board members going to be at the game? I'll be there, not sure if I'll make any pre-game festivities, but will be in the SDSU section cheering on the Jacks.

I'll be there. Is there a local gathering spot for pre game festivities? Last year we went to some bar full of yellow and blue, but I don't remember the name.

Sucks this game is on a Thursday, a Friday game would have drawn a better crowd.

Back the Jacks in Minneapolis! Join SDSU alumni and fans on Thursday, December 7 when the Jackrabbit Men’s Basketball Team face off against the Golden Gophers at Williams Arena. Before the game, gather at Blarney’s Pub and Grill.

A little preview into the Gophers game. Lawerance McKenzie averages 15.9 a game. Dan Coleman averages 13.1 a game. Spencer Tollackson averages 10.6 a game. Coleman and Tollackson are the two leading rebounders at 5.0 and 5.3 respectively the team averages 33.5 rebounds a game. They average 16.75 TO's a game. They shoot about 66% from the line and 43% from the field and 43% from behind the 3 point line. Tollackson is coming off a double double vs. UAB. Should be a good game we could win. Game time is 7:00 tomorrow night.

A close game to the wire would be nice, a win even better. Things seem to be on the right track and looking forward to another strong showing by Nagy and Co.

Stub and Herbs, beer was warm. Glad they changed the location, but I can't make it. Yankton is a lot further from William's arena than Rochester was. Good luck to the Jacks. I'll be listening.

Hopefully Coleman and Tollickson get into early foul trouble like they did against NDSU, otherwise it will be tough for the jacks to handle thier size. Also, it will interesting to see what impact the little point guard Wilson will have, he's as quick as they get, NDSU didn't have anybody that could stick with him. McKenzie is thier leading scorer and is a lights out shooter. Hopefully the game against UAB will have some effect on the Gophers.
