Anyone know why Frias isn't playing? I thought he'd been playing OK lately.

Coleman's 24 pts is a career high for him.

I'm going to bail out tonight, folks . . . the Shuttle is supposed to launch tonight and I'll give up my WNAX internet slot to the first comer and switch over to the NASA TV feed . . .

          What can I say, I'm a space geek . . .

Coleman hits two...he has 28 for the night

Bassett shoots and draws a foul

Bassett not a good free-throw shooter. WCCO announcers laughing about his first shot...missed badly.

                    Re: Gopher Game Thread

We are getting beat by a little bit more than I expected but not that much more. We have gone from a upper tier DII program to a bottom tier DI program. The Gophers are a lower level Big 10 team, they'll kick our butts 10 out of 10 games. There is just a lot of difference between SDSU struggling and the U of Minn struggling. You have to be quite naive to think differently.

Men's BB at SDSU is a long ways from competing night in and night out at the DI level. If you can't accept that it will be a long season this year and probably for a couple of years to come. Things have not gone as planned, accept that and look for solutions.

Lets not let this turn into another Kent St. game.

Minnesota tries a three and misses. Callahan gets rebound

Frias shoots and misses, Bassett gets rebound...out to Yackley and he's fouled.

Yackley is 0-6 from the charity stripe.

Shooting two: misses the first. the second: got it
                      Loney in for Bassett

I think Stu has a retort planned and I don't think it will be too SDSU friendly.  Again, I was up late last night so I might just be sleep-deprived and paranoid.
Stu should rip us tomorrow, if he is worth his weight in mud, that is.

We're pretty obviously not where we want to be. But we're still on track for my 3-12 first half of the season with hope of a .500 second half. We need to hope that more lessons will be learned by this team--tonight's lesson: If you get up on a reasonably good team, they WILL come back on you. If you let up on them at all, start missing shots and making mistakes, they'll blow you out.
