    Re: Middle Tennessee State

Well we shot ourselves in the foot tonight. But still kept in the game. Gave the fans some hope for Saturday night. The Fans actually made some noise. I'm not sure what the radio coverage and noise levels sounded like but there was some noise made in frost. Jose played a good game tonight and played the role of senior leader. We played well and outplayed them, their coach even said we out played them. Caddy looked hesistant tonight to take some shots, dunno if it was his hip or their defense or a little of both. We just didn't have the necessary ingredients to pull of the win tonight. Saturday we can start again to get a win streak going.

"We never should have been in that situation to have to make a play at the end of the game, we just shouldn't have," Jackrabbits coach Scott Nagy said after a 57-56 loss at Frost Arena. "If we'd have done our job defensively and made free throws, we never would have been in that position."

But SDSU (5-16) didn't, giving up 16 layups, missing eight free throws, blowing an eight-point lead in the final 11 minutes and letting the outcome rest on one play.

After the ball was inbounded with 11.2 seconds left, Jacks freshman Kai Williams drove from the right side and got to the rim, but missed a contested shot and his subsequent putback was partially blocked at the buzzer.

"This is my 24th year (in coaching) and we've been as lucky as you could ever be against this team the last two years," Blue Raiders head coach Kermit Davis said. "They've outplayed us, they've been more physical.

Scott had his team very well prepared. We did make a nice stretch run at the end."

So the student section has realized that cowbells make loud noises when they’re smacked against the metal railing. Great. Tonight, the press table is sponsored by Tylenol.

Not sure what the attendance numbers will be, but the noise level in the student section is pretty good and not just because of the cowbells.

Unfortunately, we are chipping the paint on the railings and have been asked to stop this. Anyone wanna help provide us a buffer so we don't damage the paint.
