I can't for the life of me figure out how teams can shoot a poor percentage from the FT line. Heck I can shoot a decent percentage (somewhere around 70) from the free throw line and I am nowhere near the athlete that these young men are.

I tend to agree with this statement as I know I could shoot 70-80 percent as well. However, it's pretty easy when you're standing in an empty gym...speaking for myself of course.

But these guys play basketball EVERYDAY. They should be able to make FT's even when under pressure.

Can't disagree with that statement. I'd say 65 percent and up is acceptable. I've always said that Shaq was pathetic for shooting so poorly from the line.

And we have shot 62% tonight...I can't say as if I would blame it on our FT shooting.

I appreciate what our three seniors have given to the program. They have had to endure more losses than anyone yet stilled gave a great effort. They are great young men. I wish them well wherever they may go.

Didn't pay attention to the final, but we lost that's all that matters. Disappointing since we should have won this game. Stallings' run in the 2nd half put them ahead for good. As a true Vikings fan "there's always next year".

Really wish we would have sent them out winners. Forgive me, but we sould have found a way to get that done.

Next year. Next year. Next year must (I hope) be better. We have a conference tournament to host and we need to qualify or ... it won't be our proudest moment.

just got home from the game. it was nothing less than painful. Scott said in the postgame interview that we need to stay patient for 2 more years. SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH

I agree on making FT's, but hell, look at players who are in the NBA, who do NOTHING other than play bball. Shaq, B. Wallace, Duncan...

And now I apologize for comparing to the NBA!! But, I think you get the point.

Back from the game.

That was, pardon my french, one god-awful, piss-poor display of bad basketball by the Jackrabbits tonight..

I'm really upset--in an angry kind of way, not in a despondent way. I am mad at my Jackrabbits right now.

But I'll be in Cancun to see what they've done in the off-season to get better.

I expect SIGNIFICANT improvement by both coaches and players next year. My patience has run out.

Damn, I'm angry. I had better quit now, wait for the pizza to be delivered, and consume some adult beverages.

I think one of the things that really hurt was the end of the first half. All of our starters except for Kai were on the bench with 2 fouls. We should have had the lead going into the half. I believe I heard a final total of 19 turnovers (it wasn't as bad in the first half) and you can't win the close games with that many turnovers. The rebounding was a huge plus for us but it didn't turn into the points we needed.

I'd like to thank the seniors for the good job they did for the team. Wish Mo could have played in his last game but it was nice to hear him post-game on the radio.
