Jacks#1Fan said it very well in the Michael Loney Article thread. His quote is below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically brings tears to my eyes when I think about our three seniors, Michael, Ben and Moe. Michael has worked so hard, and has played to the best of his abilities; Ben had some tough years leading up to the death of his father, and this year, has given 110% (in other words, EVERYTHING he could give); and Moe was an unfortunate victim of several things, not the least of which was breaking his arm before the season was over! I'm so glad Moe got to start a game before his accident.
All three went through transitional purgatory and all three are GREAT people!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These guys deserve as big a send off as probably any senior class that we have had for everything that they have gone through while at SDSU. They have made us proud with their effort in the classroom, their hard work on the court, their dedication to this program and SDSU, and have done it all with a great deal of class.
These three men embody what is great about college athletics! I have personally gotten to know Ben and Michael while they have been here and just couldn't be more proud of them and who they are. I have no doubt that all three will go on to do exceptional things in their life.
Thanks for providing a solid foundation for our program through a transition period that has tested the mettle of everyone! You have shown the rest of the men on the team what can happen as a result of your faith and hard work and that character is much more important than the final score!
Cheers to Ben, Mo, and Michael!
Please come out and salute them Saturday and show them your appreciation along with me!
