    Re: UMKC in Frost, 1/17/07

Ah, my favorite play--forcing a shot clock violation. 25-23 Jacks with the ball, 5 minutes to go first half, and Callahan draws a foul driving to the hoop.

        Cordova's 8 points a bright point. 28-25

Assume it's half: 34-31 as Roos keep hanging around. Not good since it's one of the Summit's worst teams and we're playing at home. Turnovers don't look too bad, I guess that's good.

The big news of the first half is, I think, Kai Williams' line: 10 minutes, 2 points, 2 fouls, 3 rebounds. Hopefully he'll come out and have a big second half.

Callahan has 12 points, Cordova 8, Beran 6, Moss 4, Sargent and Williams 2 points each.

These two teams are, I'm afraid, pretty evenly matched. UMKC is 3/14 from 3 point range. If they get hot it could be trouble.

Ask and you shall receive. Kai with a big 3.

Jacks collecting some dumb fouls . . . pushoff on a rebound by Kai, reach-in by Callahan. The team that puts on a bit of a late run will probably win the game.

Why did I think Mackenzie Casey was redshirted?

Now it looks like both teams are screwing up.

Berte is doing his best to foul out with nothing to show for it.
