    Gonna be interesting to talk to the yote fans I'm surrounded by tomorrow. I know what most of the posters on here would have to say if the yotes embarrassed themselves like this. Wonder if the same people can accept what this means for us? If you don't agree that this was as uninspired and unacceptable a performance as there has been since the transition please explain why. Don't just say "let see what happens next game." I want to hear some legitimate reasons why I should be content with a performance like this.

            I'm right there on the "ledge" with you MD. OK, maybe it's not that bad but we just got housed by a mediocre team. I'm with you on the effort...even the slightest effort could have at least kept the game around 12 points...they couldn't even do that much.

              Yeesh. I know we have lost some close games, but a 5-9 record vs Div I teams is not exactly something to write home about. We are yet to get over that hump. Close, but not there yet.

                A good football school that draws under 600 for basketball, Western is an example of what happens to the fan base after several years of sub-mediocrity. Still I'm willing to forget about this one. There's a much tougher challenge awaiting Saturday.

                    About that you are correct. Nagy disagrees with you, however. He is "sick" of waiting to see how we respond to losses like this.

                    Well, I'm certainly not happy about hearing/watching us play this way. It reminds me a lot of the high school I so proudly attended and played for in the past. Every loss was viewed as unacceptable and thats why there weren't many. Today they are lucky to finish .500. I'm beginning to wonder is our fan base is starting to accept the same. Sure seems like it based on some of the stuff posted here.

                    I'll continue to expect much more than a 20 point loss to Western Illinois. I'm never going to be able to accept results like tonight, never.

                          Perhaps my point wasn't clear. I get the feeling that negative comments about this teams performance are received as non-supportive. It seems as if some feel we should be expected to be positive about every aspect of the program even in the face of undeniable negatives like the performance tonight. I take issue with those who disagree with calling a crappy performance crappy. If you don't recognize when you've failed because of your own poor performance you never improve. I get the feeling some posters here only want to hear the rah, rah, rah.

                              Just got back from the game. The Jacks' performance can be summed up with one word:

                              Ewwwwwwwuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

                              The only good thing about tonight was that so few people in Macomb saw this debacle.

                              Those of us wanting to see steady improvement saw a serious regression tonight. Yeah, you expect some ups and downs with a team with so many freshmen and sophomores, but at some point, those kids need to start figuring things out and playing like veteran players. And the upperclassmen need to play with smarts and consistency.

                              So, again:

                              Ewwwwwwwuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

                                I attended the game and the highlight for me was getting the Macomb Journal's free WIU purple Koozie..... I didn't see much effort by the Jacks.
