Re: On The Road to the Summit

I had a question about the dome but the media guide link posted answered my question. It seats 3000 and built in the 1970's on campus and looks like it needs some work. I had thought it was a big deal with the city of Shreveport, but apparently it is not.

Sorry, Jacks . . . We'll have to make it up to you down the road . . .

Re: On The Road to the Summit

Well, the once-promising series "On the Road to the Summit" has staggered in to its conclusion.

The "table of contents" page is here.

          The penultimate chapter is here.

          And the finale is here.

(Yeah, I cheated in places and cribbed notes from some of my posts here to fill it out. *shrug*.)

Now, all that's left is to sweep the final weekend of the league at Frost. No problem!

Oakland fan here. After reading your travel ruminations, Filbert, I couldn't resist making a brief post to say how impressed I am. Great observations all the way around. Other schools in the Summit (like Oakland) are still trying to build the type of loyalty that fans/alumni like you have for SDSU. Plus, now I know where to eat (and exactly what to order!) if I ever find myself in Macomb, Illinois.

I agree with Germane - great info and great pics. I was so impressed that I posted about it on the ORU board, and linked to the blog so that some of our other fans can enjoy your work. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the rest of us.

And if you make it to Tulsa next year, maybe we can buy you dinner!
