Congrats to Clint, he might turn out to be another diamond that we got lucky to get.  Vantage, do you have any info on what schools might be looking at Cougil or the other 6'9" player (Jorgenson?) from Sioux City East too?

To my understanding Coughill is being looked at by several Big 12 teams and Big 10 teams.

Yes, Cougil is getting some early interest from Iowa, Iowa State, etc... What i heard after the State Tournament, is unless he grows another 3 inches or so, he might drop to a low to mid-major. He has great hands, some of the best i've seen on a 6'8" kid, but footwork,athlectism, and general toughness, are suspect. With that being said, he's obviously very young.

You bet that Coach Nagy knows about him!

I'm not sure who's looking at Eric Jorgenson from SC East. At this point Eric appears to be more athlectic than Brennan, but Cougil has a better basketball IQ. In two games this year, Eric had his way with Brennan in the first game and Brennan reversed it in the second one.

When is the signing period? I think it is next week sometime. Has anyone heard about any potential recruits that may sign during the next period.

Vette, a 6-9, 245-pounder who averaged 19.1 points and 11.9 rebounds, is honored today as the 2007 Mr. Basketball recipient by the Iowa Newspaper Association, saluting him as the top Iowa cager in all four enrollment classes.

The Waverly-Shell Rock star, who made a verbal commitment to Indiana State of the Missouri Valley, said after the state tournament he is no longer certain what his decision will be when the NCAA spring signing period begins April 4.

 Waverly is in Northern Iowa.  A boy can dream, can't he?

So which is it?

I orginally thought it was this week.

We have to remember that these players are young men and have a tough time with their decisions. I dont think its fair to be critical of them where they choose to play. If it works out great, if not, then move on and tryagain. Thats OK too.

The national letter of intent home page says the start for the spring signing period is April 11.

Dale moss was in the dunk contest at the 3-class shootout, and had some pretty impressive dunks they're on youtube.
