Anyone have any word on when this will be available?

Will this include home, non-conference games? If not, will the SDSU package include non-conference home games?

About two weeks until the season starts. Looking forward to it.

I've heard the Summit package will be $49.95 or $59.95 and all Summit League games are included. Not sure about non-conference games.
    Holy nutmeg!

From what I understand, non-conference basketball games will be included in the GoJacks.com package while the away games will likely only be streamed if our opponent has an XOS (the company that runs our site) website.

        Re: Summit TV

Well I was wondering the same thing a couple of days ago and here is the e-mail that I got back from SDSU.

Live video streaming of SDSU basketball games -- both home and away -- will only be available on The Summit League site. All schools in the league are in the process of finalizing getting everything set up for the video streaming; once those assurances are in place, the package will be available for purchase. This is the first year of league-wide streaming so everything is a work in progress. I believe the league package will cost about $50 for the entire year, or you can opt to purchase games on a pay-per-view basis in the neighborhood of $5 per game.

We have asked the league to allow us to post games on a tape-delay or on-demand basis on the Jackrabbit Extra, but have not received a determination as to whether that will happen. However, we will have weekly coaches' shows for both men's and women's basketball on the Jackrabbit Extra.

For games not video streamed (mostly non-conference road games), those radio broadcasts also will be available via the Jackrabbit Extra.

Thanks for your support of SDSU Athletics and subscribing to the Jackrabbit Extra.

So it looks like if you want to see any SDSU basketball on the internet, you have to sign up for the Summit League package.

Awesome. $50 and a chance to see our conference foes whenever we want as well. I like this set up.

Thanks for all of the information. 17 days til first tip off for men.

            Re: Summit TV

So am I reading that right that NONE of SDSU's basketball games are available on the Jackrabbit Extra via video, non-conference included. Or is it just conference games that are thru the Summit site? I'd sure like to know why I thought I'd be able to watch basketball games on the Jackrabbit extra when I ponied up my $99. I guess there's a sucker born every day. I'm not that big of a BB fan to fork over another $50 for the Summit site when I guess I assumed it was a good deal to sign up for the year long Jackrabbit Extra and get to watch games when I wanted.
I updated my signature for the first time in six years.

              Re: Summit TV

I'll agree when it came out that gojacks was going to have this feature I atleast understood that basketball was going to be just like football... all games at frost arena and away games if they had the same software. And what does non conference games have to do with this also?

                Re: Summit TV

Reading the terms on gojacks.com, I knew that all conference games were being shown through Summit TV. I was just wondering how they were treating the non-conference home games.

I was never under the impression that the Summit games were going to be covered through gojacks.com. They had that information clearly placed on the site when I signed up which was in August.

                Thanks for the information guys.

And it is up for sale.

First game is UMKC this Saturday.

$49.95 for the whole package. Quite a deal if you ask me.

                      Re: Summit TV

Here's the answer to the non-conference question, direct from the Summit League site:

"Any non-televised home game of all Summit League members are to be made available on SummitTV."

So, yes, SummitTV includes non-conference home games.

If I can't get back to Brookings I'm going to try Summit TV. Any advice from those of you using Summit TV would be appreciated. I'm going to try the single game option. Hopefully I'm at Frost arena tonight, if not I'll bring the game to my house.

I tried signing up a few weeks ago and it kept timing out. Tried about 15 minutes ago and got registered for the season package. Just got done doing all my Christmas shopping on-line in about 40 minutes and debit card had a little left in it, so went with the season package.

I have had great luck with SummitTV - They will probably start the broadcast at 6:40. If you get in early and it has not been broadcasted yet, I think you have to close the window and launch the media player again. It does not refresh on its own. Other than that, I think you will be satisfied with the product. It looks like I am going the same route tonight.

Mixed reviews here. Couple broadcasts went very well, couple of them had no audio or the audio wasn't very good. Its a nice option to have for night like tonight with the bad weather or for all of the conference road games. Considering it costs me around $40 to make the trip plus game tickets, I think the $50 for the season is pretty reasonable.
