Really sucks of course, losing 4 total players like that. Only one positive so far, if we can keep Davis Kern. Then, let’s see what Brian’s recruiting ability is now and the future. Grab another recruit like Kern out of Iowa and keep the best players from SD in Brookings…big challenge for Brian…I’m betting he can do it. What else to hope for!!?? Damn sure not going to cheer for the Yotes!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing what Andrell Burton can do coming off his redshirt. Looking at Verbal Commits ranking of last year's class, he was higher ranked than Larson and Hadnot. Was in Drake's class until their coaching change a year ago. Looks really athletic, but needed to add some weight. And we still do have Garry, Sayler, Jackson and Wilkinson coming back.

Jimmy set the bar pretty low in regard to hypocrisy in coaching when he left. Hendo has dropped to a similarly low standard, but with a smile on his face. I don't care that they both took assistant coaches with them. Coaches are grown men who can do what they want. I don't even care that much that they took experienced Jackrabbit players with them. Today's pro-like, screwed-up, free agency system in college basketball encourages veteran, rostered players to check other playing and NIL opportunities. It does bother me that Rogers and Henderson both took future recruits - teenagers who had been scouted and signed at SDSU's time and expense. Coaches set a bad example when they act like high school recruits are their personal workforce and should follow them rather than honor their initial commitments to a school. I'll get over it, probably, and remain a big Jackrabbit fan. But these transitions sure have become painful.

What's even the point of (low) mid major DI hoops? The game itself sucks - a 3 point shooting fest. Why get excited about recruits? If they're good gone as sure as the the sun coming up in the east.

I hadn't watched film on Kern until now. Wow. He has great ball skills at 6'9" and will be fun to watch.

Bahl is a big loss. So, potentially, is Goodbary. Hadnot will be a big loss. Cluff was a huge loss. Larson and Whorton were surprising losses. Lindsey's graduation, and Barnhart's retirement add to fans' pain. The basketball team is probably losing a bigger percentage of its roster and recruits than the football team did. I'm sure Coach Petersen will do a good job rebuilding the team and staff, but the transition sure sucks.

Yeah if they can somehow re-recruit goodbary and keep two out of the three. Definitely the SoDak guys on the current roster along with Jackson and Burton. Find a point guard in the portal and it would be like there was never a change.

Kern looks like a player just based on his achievements. Saw he was 1st team all state in iowas big class. On a good team to boot.

With Kern apparently sticking with his commitment to SDSU and Goodbarry de-committing, what other names we should be watching for in this class to see if they stay or go?

Bahl was the only other recruit and he's gone to Drake.
