Maybe they are graduating and ready to move on and might have other opportunities. With this whole war think in Ukraine, I wonder if thats going to affect peoples decisions to go over seas to play for awhile. So much uncertainty there. Guess we will see. i sure hope they are both moving on but if they have a chance to comeback it seems like it would be hard to turn that down.

I don't know if this is the most talented team the Jacks have ever had in the D-1 era, player for player, but the team works super hard, the members play well together, and they play aggressively and confidently, regardless of the opponent. They're a lot of fun to watch.

Interesting note. Although Bison started 6-11 Grant Nelson and 6-10 Rocky Kreuser, the Jacks outrebounded them 36-34. The Jacks' tallest starter was 6-7 Douglas Wilson, who led all players with 11 boards. What a strong force he is.

I may have missed the information regarding Luke Appel. I saw that he was more than gimpy with a sore ankle/foot. Has anyone heard the nature of any injury?
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Nothing official, but just watched the replay and they said it was a foot injury. If true, that worries me more than if it was an ankle. Was interesting that Zimmer tweeted last night that Wilson was dealing with a migrane. Some one responded who suffers from migranes and said it appears they were massaging the area right above the eyes, which is a treatment for migranes. Which makes his performance even more impressive.

Back to my discussion about Wilson or Scheierman, this is the game where it seems Wilson was the 1A player and Scheierman was the 1B players. Both amazing and make everyone else better and amazing skill sets, but I think this team is doing what it is, because of a health Wilson and how dynamic he is. His athletic ability, to defend all different types of players, his ability to create a show off the class out of nothing.....is simply amazing. Wilsons ability to score almost seems at will, he can when he needs too. not many players have that ability and skill set to do it.

For those curious and not at the game last night, there were nearly 600 student tickets sold to SDSU students. They filled the SDSU and ndsu student section sides plus a section in the upper deck. I'm sure many non-students and students who didn't buy a student ticket helped to fill these areas and make it an insane environment. Never seen a student crowd like that one at the tournament and maybe never will again.

I think it was mentioned that spring break hasn’t started yet. Typically the summit league tourney is during spring break….so guessing that’s why the increase in student attendance.

yeah WOW can you imagine being EITHER the WBB or the MBB being in class today?? there is no way i would be able to sit in a class today after either winning or losing one of those games

of course if i am honest attendance was not really my strong suit when i was in college))

I may agree with you 1-5 Starters-wise. (not trying to start an arguement)

But depth wise... 1-12 (and yes I know they typically only play 8) this is the most talented team in my opinion. There is a TON of talent on this team.

Has any team been able to run their bottom 5 "scrubs" out on the court and say "3 of these guys started for us in the past?" This is a roster that is loaded.

That being said, Wilson is a huge loss. His athleticism on the defensive end will actually be the thing I think we miss the most.
