LetsGoRabbits’ post is another great reminder about how fortunate we are as fans during this era of continued success with many of the Jackrabbit teams. When excellence is expected, the sour points can often stand out more than the positives. What does the thread or twitter look like when we have that yearly poor home football game?

If we were just about anywhere else regardless of not losing, we'd never stop seeing Noah things in the media. Instead, there was a podcast mention here and there and a small paragraph in an article every so often. Now with Noah's appearance, the things that generate clicks will continue, and someone from one half will still ask if we'll see him again, and the other side will do an eye roll or audibly groan until the picture is clear.

We are pretty lucky as fans to have had our concerns these past few weeks be limited to things like slow starts, depth in tournaments, and what other fans on this board are saying about (the handling of) our players.

Here are some fun Summit tables courtesy of https://evanmiya.com. First is player rating with a min of 250 possessions. Third is top 5man rotations with minimum of 25 poss. Three Jackrabbit lineups on the second page with a neg adjusted efficiency are Appel/Dent/Mayo/Mims/Schier, Arians/Dent/Friedel/Schier/Wils, and Arians/Dent/Mims/Schier/Wils

i am POSITIVE there is a lot that goes into all this that could take a lot of digging into, but interesting info peavy!!

while i disagree about DW being fourth most valuable, i am going to say it has to do with minutes and foul trouble and him getting healthier as the year goes. right now i almost think in some ways he looks better than his first year

but i am glad to see Alex get some respect

In the lineups page, baylor is in all three lineups. that also makes sense since he rarely leaves the floor. but alex is also in all three again showing that he is far more valuable than many think and supporting him being second on the team in minutes. i actually do not know if he still is but not too long back he was

doug is in two of the lineup but maybe surprising some so is Dent, and also Zeke

Speaking of good fortune, did you notice the frequency with which Jacks' lineups appeared when ranked by Adjusted Team Efficiency Margin?

When talking about Conference POY, I'm sure people around the league look at Abmas as a heavy favorite due to his scoring. But it is interesting to see that his defensive shortcomings drag him below 6 Jacks players in overall rankings. For me, it's hard to not name an SDSU player as POY, with as dominant as the Jacks have been, but having both Baylor and Douglas as strong candidates unfortunately may split the votes of those who want to vote for a Jackrabbit.

I did, although the 50 possession 5 man table doesn't look nearly as nice as this. The 3 man lineup with 200 poss has 25 of the 29 Jackrabbit lineups in the top 41 out of 191 total in the Summit. The Jacks scoring efficiency sure makes things fun. The silly thing about stats these days is that you can pretty much always find a way to paint your team/player in a favorable light, kind of like this one from the Giants last May comparing a player to Mays/Ruth. St. Thomas, for example, is second in the nation in turnovers per game, and USD is 7th in opponents assists per game.

That Giants stat makes me wonder how the Jacks' Adjusted Team Efficiency Margin is impacted during weekend matchups when the majority of ice cream is served in cones versus waffle bowls.
