Jacks hold on. Has to be a good feeling for the coaching staff given their history in Ames. Only 4 points off the bench, that has to improve. And how many face-up jumpers did their center hit ? Post defense definitely needs to get better.

Just enough. So many missed shots in the paint and sloppy turnovers down the stretch. However, it’s the 40-minute total that counts.
As the announcer noted, Scheierman looks like he comes from the 80’s. He’s fun to watch. Friedel continues to impress by hitting huge shots. Arians did a little of everything.
Wilson battled but definitely did not have his best game. Dentlinger is struggling to even catch the ball. Wingett is still waiting to get going. Lots to improve, but it was a very nice win.
Be glad for any game we can field a full team for in 2020, let alone win against a P5 team.

Wingett and Mims still some to be figuring out the defensive rotations, would like to see them get more time if they can figure that out. Mims also shouldn't have the green light from 3.
Hopefully some SL competition lets Mfum and Appel get a lot more time on the floor for some depth in the SLT.

I'm not sure what is going on with Dentlinger, but he is hurting the team on both ends of the floor. He was the biggest surprise last year and the biggest disappointment so far in this young season. If he is going well it makes Douglas so much more effective. Hoping Appel can contribute at some point. Missing Alou Dillon and never understood why he didn't get more minutes as he played well when given extended minutes.

A road win against a P5 conference opponent. Pretty hard to complain about that.
The great thing is that there is still so much upside potential for this team.. It was kind of a weird game. It felt like we were by far the better team and should have been up by a wider margin than we were. Scheiermann and Friedel have been great. Arians just keeps doing the grunt work and consistently puts together solid games. Wilson is so fun to watch but he has struggled getting shots to fall and at the free throw stripe. Those will come around. Hope Dentlinger comes around like others have said. When this team gets the inside out game going they are really tough to beat. When they get away from that is when they struggle.
Give ISU a lot of credit for coming back and making it a game late. They finally got hot at the same time we struggled and it became close. The Jacks pulled it out though. Winning close games is a good sign.
So, the Jacks swept Iowa State last week in MBB & WBB. That's never a bad thing!
Next up will be a good test at a 3-1 Bradley team Friday night. They have wins over Toledo, Oakland, and Judson. Their only loss is by one at Xavier.
SUPERBUNNYMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, BIZUN!!!

FWIW, and I'm not normally one to blame the officiating. (although I slip into it with the Jackrabbits more often than other teams)
I thought the Refs swallowed their whistles the last 10 minutes against Iowa State.
3 Blatant example:
1. Sheierman on the left wing, got the ball knocked out of his hand (probably a foul), went down to the floor to secure it, Iowa State guy just mauled him while on the floor...never touched the ball. Baylor got the timeout, but looked to the ref after the Timeout was call like... c'mon!
2. Freidel's drive that was review and reversed (correctly)... he was Hacked...which is why it came out in the first place.
3. Doug's attempted dunk on the press break, he got knocked to the floor hard, by the contact.
Those were all No Calls.
I get we can't change the officiating, and they just have to play through it. But it was obvious with about 10 minutes left, they weren't calling Jack Squat on the Cyclones. If the game had been called consistently, like it had earlier, this doesn't happen. Players (and coaches) want to see consistency.
Still good to get W. Battled through some adversity, on the road to do it.

Seems like Illinois has taken over from them as the mid-west team to watch this year.
3rd ranked in vegas behind baylor and gonzaga despite losing to baylor.
