  • GDT: SDSU Jackrabbits vs ORU GoldenEagles @ Mabee Center

The Jackrabbits have the rematch with ORU in Tulsa where the home team is 8-0 this season. This would be a big and great game to add to the road victories for SDSU in conference. ORU has won 4 of 5 with 2 road wins coming into tonight's game. They have a formidable line up with some talent on the bench. The game in Brookings found 60 points in the paint as the Jackrabbits shot 62.5% and scoring 96 points for the game. I would expect ORU looking to slow the post play tonight. I would expect the Jackrabbits to give the post an opportunity to score prior to any deviations. Nzekwesi has been on a tear recently. Hopefully that player can be slowed. Go Jacks!!

Good post OldHare! ORU was not impressive when they were in Frost. This will be a huge test as ORU has really started to play well. My guess is they will go inside and try and get Wilson and Dentlinger in foul trouble to limit what they can do on offense.

A win there would be huge and be a huge confidence boost. Play tenacious defense, own the boards, and limit turnovers to get the win. Easy right? Friedel had a big game against them in Brookings. He's due for another one.

It probably will take a healthy Jackrabbit squad to beat Oral on the road. Hopefully, Wilson and Key are near full health. This game will be a good test.

It will be fun to watch the battle in the paint tonight. Strength on strength. Who can stay out of foul trouble? Alou Dillon better be ready to get some minutes.

We probably need to win 3 out of the 4 remaining road games to take the title. That’s a lot to ask of a young team but if they find a way to steal this one we’re definitely in the drivers seat.

Going to be a tough game. Jackrabbits handled them, and then some, the last time out in Frost.

ORU may have overlooked them a bit.

That won't happen this time. They are at home, and playing well.

Unlikely that the Jackrabbits shoot the ball as well as they did the first time either.

I'm hopeful that the team stays within striking distance, and has a chance at the end.

Officials letting them bang inside. Wingett seems to be back in a groove.. If they are going to stick with a 6 footer guarding him, he could have a big night.

                  Freidel just posterized Nzekwesi.

Jacks need to control the ball better. The floor seems slick as well. Both teams have turned the ball over from just slipping.

Gotta take being up 4 at half and only getting 3 from Wilson.

Wilson needs to play smarter and stay out of foul trouble. Twelve turnovers in the half by the Jacks, when they normally only commit 13 per game.

I'm not able to watch or listen... Wilson with only 5 points? Struggling to get looks against ORU's bigs? Foul trouble?

Doubling at the touch for both he and Dentlinger. Couple dumb fouls though.
