According to the USD bean counters, it's about 3,000 people in attendance.
USD listed 2617 in their box score for the men's game. I watched it and they had a few times where the arena was shown from different angles. 2617 is complete BS, there is no way, no how, they were close to that. Half of that might be close, at best.
Re: GDT:Jackrabbits vs Mastodons @ Gates Sports Center 6pm
The three time zone road trip seemed to catch up with the Jacks in the last ten minutes. The guards especially looked gassed at the end. Getting Key back will really help spread the minutes out. Teams haven't applied much back court pressure yet which surprises me, and Key will help there as well.

Two road wins at this stage is really nice. If we can get two more
we should be right in the hunt for a top two seed. It’s hard imagine any team running away with the title this year.

Great week of basketball for the Rabbits. The team rallied on Wednsday night and went wire to wire on Satuday. A difficult road trip and two victories. Nice work Rabbits!
I found it intereesting last night during the broadcast when the announcers were talking about all the advantages SDSU has in basketball over other Summit League teams. This is hot button issue with NDSU once again winning the FCS football championship. The annoucning team discussed how difficult of a road trip this is for "most" Summit League teams. Traveling to Denver and then Ft. Wayne. They mentioned due to larger budgets and commitment to basketball that SDSU was able to charter a plane from Denver and back to Brookings from Ft. Wayne. The announcer said most Summit League teams have to fly commercial and this road trip is a nightmare for them. Maybe the chartered plane helped as the Rabbits looked very fresh in the first half and built a 20 point lead at half time. It was just interesting to listen to someone else complain about money.....

Go Rabbits!
I believe the men and women shared a charter from Denver to Ft Wayne.

I'm not sure the teams stopped over in S.D. after they left Denver. During Hendo's post game radio interview, it sounded like they hadn't been home since leaving for Denver. The teams traveled together, and they couldn't have flown out of Denver until late Thursday - early Friday morning after the women's game. And they were in Fort Wayne Friday afternoon as there were pictures posted of Hendo visiting ex-coach Iverson. If they did stop off in Brookings, it couldn't have been for long enough to give them any kind of advantage.
